Updated: ***Cowboys Players Official Cut List***

You have to cut guys like Lemon and Coale to keep guys like Dunbar or Olawale.

Unfortunatley, I think Coale will ultimately have a better career than Beasley, who just looks like an injury waiting to happen.

That might only apply to guys being signed off the street. A guy who has been playing all camp and pre-season doesn't need those days. That rule must have been about going from 0 activity to 100% more slowly

Here's a quote from an article when the changes were announced:

"The NFL will also drop the "three-day rule" from preseason practice guidelines. Once players who did not begin training camp with the team reported, including players signed during camp or the preseason, they had a three-day window in which they could not take part in fully padded practices.

That rule would not have applied in the regular season and will no longer be enforceable in the preseason."

The question, then, will be whether or not the Cowboys are still considered in the preseason or not. If so, then the rules may or may not still apply, but would definitely be gone for next year. If not, it wouldn't have mattered since it didn't affect the regular season anyway.

surprised to see lemon there after yesterday

they probably just needed the extra spot and are planning on using Albright as the second backup at ILB

That's myopic! If other teams hit less than we do, we are still terrible because we're less than perfect??

The draft is 100% a gamble. There's never a sure thing, much less a string of them through seven rounds. Go look at any draft year and see how many 4th round picks turn out to be reliable starters.

I disagree it is not near a %100 gamble and there is a reason year after year some teams do much better than others

Don't believe the Lemon cut has been verified by a reliable source, as of yet.

Dont bother with certain posters with agenda's.....their trick is getting old.....

It has already been shown that we are not the worst team drafting players.......its been documented here numerous times......yet...we have people with agenda's and the hatred of Jerry runs deep in them....that if a low rd draft pick doesnt become a pro bowler.....Jerry is a idiot....

Its not like Jerry told Coale...."Hey buddy.....get hurt...you dont need to prove anything.....you will make the team from the tub..."

I understand the logic why certain players were cut.....I had my pet cats in Hamilton and Coale.....but Im not going to blame Jerry for this them not making the team. Coale was hurt most of Training camp.......As the great Jimmy Genius used to say....cant make the club from the tub.....

Oh well....I hope we can get my 2 pet cats on the PS.

The Cowboys will release fifth-round pick Danny Coale.

Don't know if this is Josh's opinion or if he is reporting it as fact...

Go look at the Ravens drafts and get back with me on that. Newsome is considered good because he finds stellar players, not because he hits on all his draft picks.

The first round washout rates alone are much higher than people think.

Getting UDFAs who perform better than your regular draft picks are just another aspect of it. You shouldn't keep draft picks over others who just do a better job.

We are probably going to see this some as the rest of the cuts come in today....

So that makes Adrian Hamilton, Danny Coale, Orie Lemon, Rudy Carpenter, Shaun Chapas & Clifton Geathers to this point

as much as i wanted him to make it, he just didn't have enough time to show enough given his injuries.

Olawale is crap

Mike Fisher just went on RAGE and said if Robert Callaway is cut, there will not be a Cowboys defensive linemen traded.

I am with you on Coale. Not as invested in Hamilton, but he seems like a good development prospect. Still, other players stepped up. Always nice to see, even if the cuts are painful.
