Updated scenario please?

Why wouldn't we have the tiebreaker over Tampa if we win and they lose????

We would have the tiebreaker, but we won't get to a tiebreaker with them if Washington wins. Tampa Bay would beat Washington for the first wild card, and Washington would be in a tiebreaker for the second wild card.

If we win and EITHER Washington loses at Philadelphia or Carolina loses at Atlanta, we'll be in the playoffs.

Washington and Carolina both play before us, so we'll know before kickoff if we can get in with a win or if we're already out.

Well, and it pains me to say this, but, GOOOOOOOOOOOOO Eagles! :ralph:

What about Tampa?

We have three outs.

1/2= Car and Wash lose

3. Tampa loses

tiebreaker

1.head to head= no one
2. Conference= both 8-4[tie]
3. common games= we won vs Det and Sf,they lost. Car and Wash wash, given the 4 game minmum

yeah Atlanta will play strong, but I don't think their D is going to be able to stop a Panther's offense who will be knowing the playoffs are on the line. Plus the Panthers are almost designed specifically to stop Michael Vick. So there's going to be a lot of if's for them to win that game.

My money is actually on the Philadelphia Eagles... the Eagles played the Giants very strongly with pretty much the same circumstances.. The HFA will be strong, we've seen a very good Washington team, but you have to keep this in mind:

They played STL and Arizona as part of their "4 game win streak" and got two home games to really play for the crowd and their own emotion.. going on the road is going to atleast make them have to work for it.. the Philly crowd ain't exactly Arizona lol..

One of the best movies of all time....in my distorted opinion. :lmao2:

We are screwed - both teams we need to win are out of it...

I think theres a much better chance that Atlanta beats Carolina. Everyone says Vick owns the Panthers so lets hope its true and they beat them

No, not necessarily.

Yes we would. If Tampa wins and Carolina loses, we'd beat Carolina (and possibly Minnesota, if they win out) in the tiebreaker for the sixth seed.

What if the Giants lose? Do they go because of division record?

There are (4) division winners and only (2) wild cards now.

Carolina must lose - they are 10-5
Commanders must lose- they have tie-breaker over us
And, if Minny wins today, they might have to lose also- They are 9-5

Is this right? Our playoff hopes are in the hands of Atlanta and Philadelphia, two teams who have nothing to play for next week?

Great just great. I am feeling confident though.

well. we have a good shot at it. Ramsey looked good today, but if he has to play on the road at philly, he'll struggle.

And Atlanta at home vs. Car. looks very winable. They won the first matchup but at home things should be different. hopefully they play their starters. Actually matt shaub at QB may help us.
