No I don't think I really can, as an aside I was joking... I really don't care if Ireland said to pick him or not, Jerry is in charge and ultimatly responsible...

I want to blame Jerry, because well I can...

Fair enough.

Now let's go laugh at Schmitty.

And?????

He was a bad choice even if he isn't cut this year or next. Ekuban was a bad choice, so was Sherman Williams, Quincy Carter, Tony Dixon, Lefluer, the list could go on and on all lasted more than a year or two on the team. That doesn't change that they were bad picks...
So, like Williams, Carter, Dixon and LeFleur, Stanback is automatically a wash because he was a bad pick in your opinion. Cool.

:bang2:

If I thought he was going to be good, would you think I would be *****ing so much about the pick? I swear some of you knuckleheads look at a highlight reel and go "OH MY GAWD THIS GUYS IS GREAT!!!!!!!!" Or hear Jerry talk about how excited he is about a player and fall in love. Or read an article from dallascowboyscentral.com and just think this was the smartest move ever. The pick was flawed for all the reasons I laid out before. But I will do it again for those of you who are intellectually challenged.

It was a reach beyond that he was hurt and is switching positions. Dallas could have done better with that pick and still picked the guy later on... I call bs on the Pats wanting him in the 4th round too. Just so you know.

So we'll take the word of some guy jockeying his keyboard over the guys who do it for a living......

:pc:

Yeah............

And it's about time you gave up on this agenda and moved on to *****ing about something else.

PLUS Cleveland's #1 next year.....What's NOT to love?

Stanback is getting the most criticism of all our top picks. He's a 4th rounder so I'm not going crazy over that; plus I love his potential. Personally, I think we had a great draft.

Well, generally agree with your assessment. You wouldn't happened to have noticed the name of the poster who might disagree with your assessment, which I inserted into my reply, eh?

Great argument...

I will have to write that down, so I can use it the next time, I have nothing intelligent to say.

Because it was a major reach...

Which would apparently be every time.

You haven't stated a single fact in your entire diatribe.

Just some crybaby *****ing because the team didn't draft a receiver in Round 1 like you thought they should.

And now you try to rail against the guy they did draft with your best 'argument' being that you don't like the pick.

Too bad - get over it.

Good.... the first step in the Ten Step program is admitting you have a problem. Now we can move on.

Wow, two great responses in a row. The first telling me my opinion isn't fact, and to quit whining. Well Duh, I didn't think my opinion was a fact. The second guy insinuating that he isn't intelligent. Hey I have a lot of dumb friends, you have no reason to be ashamed, just because you can't formulate a coherent argument.

First I have never said anymore than I didn't like the pick and it was a reach... Both true.

If you don't like what I post, don't read it...

It was a wasted pick, in the sense, we could have filled another need, and still got the same guy a round or two later. Not only that but he is coming back from a serious injury, and changing positions. Couple that with both of our starting WR being 33 and the third guy pushing 30 and two UDFA backing them up and we didn't address one of our biggest needs, another WR... That all adds up to thing being a bad pick...

But you guys go back and put your head in the sand. Be all happy and jolly lapping up all the little puff pieces the DFW area and the Dallas Cowboys put out about the guy. Me, I am going to be here *****ing, because I can.

wow, talk about a misinterpretation.

First I have never said anymore than I didn't like the pick and it was a reach... Both true.
Let's analyze this gem. You didn't like the pick... yeah we know. you get no argument from me on that one. What do you want me to say? YES YOU DID LIKE THAT PICK!!!

It was a reach... pray tell, how do you know it's "true," when the evidence you need to prove it's true doesn't exist? You don't know that no one would have picked him before our 5th or 6th rounders. And you don't know how good or bad he's going to be.

If you don't like what I post, don't read it...

It was a wasted pick, in the sense, we could have filled another need, and still got the same guy a round or two later.
again, how do you KNOW that? It's a hypothetical. I could say that if we hadn't traded up with Philly we could have gotten Spencer in the early 2nd. You can't prove me wrong. Does that mean that I'm right? Please tell me you're not this dense.
Not only that but he is coming back from a serious injury, and changing positions.
Don't these facts indicate that he may have been actually a higher rated "talent?" Everyone knew that he was going to change positions and he had an injury. yet there were still projections that he would be picked in the 4th. So if he had always been a WR and had been totally healthy, wouldn't he have been a higher pick? Sounds like we got a steal... :)
Couple that with both of our starting WR being 33 and the third guy pushing 30 and two UDFA backing them up and we didn't address one of our biggest needs, another WR... That all adds up to thing being a bad pick...
I thought we got another WR... Not one in the first, but we got a WR. Just admit that your beef is that the guy YOU wanted wasn't picked in the first round.

But you guys go back and put your head in the sand. Be all happy and jolly lapping up all the little puff pieces the DFW area and the Dallas Cowboys put out about the guy. Me, I am going to be here *****ing, because I can.
:laugh2: at you saying we're putting our head in the sand. It's a 4th round pick... They hit less than half the time, and we had two of em. Who cares?

We know if we waited to get Stanback he would have been gone.

It wasn't just the Pats he wanted him. Ireland said we got at least two calls from teams informing us they were going to take him.

Most draft projections had him going in the 4th. Right where he was taken.

We don't know that, we were told that. We were told the same BS about Quincy Carter too, and he was picked two rounds too early.

We don't know what you are arguing is true, other than the fact that you told us that. Are you getting it?
