Thats the plan me thinks. If OBJ is going to happen, the perfect time to announce it is Philadelphia Eagles/Christmas week.
For optimal press coverage and hype.

Drinking and signing is even worse. Is he sober? Drinking and driving is a bad look
Oh? How much of the salary cap is he taking?
For the remainder of this year!? LolWell pure speculation on my part I admit.
My guess is a significant amount, and as always one has to weight the cost/benefit. Could those cap dollars have been better allocated elsewhere? Might they help retain a good player that would otherwise leave in free agency? Will OBJ's knee that he has blown out twice in 20 months hold up? Will he be here long enough to learn the system and develop timing with Dak before the playoffs? He's at best the #3 WR this season. I guess I'll reserve judgement until I see the details, but color me skeptical.
Jerry knows this maybe his best last chance to win the Super Bowl before he time on earth ends.Messers Jones must have found a way to write off large sums of money off taxes by overpaying a retread who may or may not play this year and who may or may not even want to play but trying to see if anyone is stupid enough to give him $20 million. Mr Beckham found his mark.
Go Cowboys!
I spit out my coffee LmaoI guess the plan is to flood the field with so man receivers, Dak's bound to hit somebody.
In Jerry's mind if he signs OBJ and we win a chip, then he can take the credit with his masterful personal move.
I meant "many". Doh!I spit out my coffee Lmao

Skeptical is good. At least you'll be giving it a chance to see the details before drawing conclusions. The way I saw it worded, it seems like Jerry wants him here for a playoff push, and if that goes well, then he'll talk about a full season or more.Well pure speculation on my part I admit.
