how can anybody not see this? we need Defensive playmakers in the worst way than a Rb who will get 15-20 carries a game.If we had a great D then we can justify Zeke but we dont.

It's a team game. Regardless of position (except QB), you need talent all over the roster.

Getting or not getting Zeke in the draft, won't change the fact we'll need defensive players long after the draft.

It isn't that difficult IMO. If Ramsey is there at 4, he's a Cowboy. If Ramsey is gone then the question becomes: Is Elliott a better RB than Bosa is a DE? Is Elliott a better RB than Buckner is a DE?

Can the team get someone at 34 that is comparable to Bosa/Buckner? Can they get someone similar to Elliott at 34?

To me, Elliott is a more elite RB than Bosa or Buckner are elite DE's. I'm not going to quibble about a few draft slots... I'm going to take the guy that I think can be special. It seems a little silly to like Elliott at 7 but hate him at 4.

The guy is a unique talent who will be hell to stop behind the Dallas OL. I'm good with it. I let go of the value aspect of it a while back. Just get a special back and work on the defense from there.

I'm at peace with the pick if that's the way they go.

Zeke will never rush for 20+ touchdowns in the NFL, I don't think, and I don't think he'll score 20+ catching/receiving either, but I think the TALENT is there.

In poker you deal with the cards your dealt with.

Although Im not a Zeke fan myself and rather go defense. There is no one on defense that really impresses me.

Draft Zeke if he is there in the 4th. He will give us the biggest bang impact this year.

Everything else goes to the defense except for possibly a QB in the 3rd or 4th round.

If this was last year knowing we had no rb options I would say sure go get an rb in the 1st. However, Mcfadden played well, we signed Morris, and likely grab another rb who can contribute at some point in the draft. We need more help on defense and can address rb later. The only scenerio I want Elliot is if we trade back, pick up atleast a high 2nd round pick and address de and secondary with those picks. Even then there are defensive players between 8 and 12 we could get that could make an instant impact. Imagine getting de, s, and lb with your top 3 picks in round 1 and 2? Not to say we hit on all, but that could be the foundation of an excellent defense for many years to come at every level.

Yea that's a lot of touchdowns. It is a bit shocking to know McFadden only had 3 and Alfred Morris only had 1 last year while Zeke had 23.... I didn't realize he scored 23 touchdowns in a short college season..
