Yea that's a lot of touchdowns. It is a bit shocking to know McFadden only had 3 and Alfred Morris only had 1 last year while Zeke had 23.... I didn't realize he scored 23 touchdowns in a short college season..

It's college, and the Big Ten is trash.

Zeke will never rush for 20+ touchdowns in the NFL, I don't think, and I don't think he'll score 20+ catching/receiving either, but I think the TALENT is there.

#ZekeAt4

If we take him you wanna bet he have a 20 td season? NEVER NOT 1 behind our Oline who's not in there prime still Collins still developing with the holes he will hv to run through and he won't miss many and even creates on his own 2 .... Ok I'll take the over unless at end of season we sittin out players

The most Murray had was what 13 and he got caught from behind a lot

We are def going to give him the ball 20 plus a game and he scores from long distances

What he do to Alabama? Cuz that's my bar in college ...and Urban Meyer did win 2 rings in the SEC just a FYI ijs

We got Dez at WR and Romo so yea Zeke see hole don't see hole but still score the Def gonna have to respect somebody on offense

huh, lol?

I think Zeke will be good, I just don't think he'll be 20 rushing TDs in an NFL season good.

I would love to be wrong.

I disagree because he can play a major part not little but major imo

Insane. Name for me the last TB that completely changed a team's fortunes by himself and made his team a SB team?

The last time the Cowboys drafted a RB that high

......They won a Super Bowl his rookie year. His quarterback was ranked #1 in the league that season.

They went to the Super Bowl the next year.

They went to 5 Conference Champions in his first six seasons.

He set just about every Cowboy record for his time.

He was inducted in the Hall of Fame.

Come to think of it, wouldn't #33 look good on Elliot?

Another Zeke thread.

Nice.

The problem with all of them is they debate the same wrong issue, which is RB vs another position, when the real debate ought to be Elliott himself as a player.

I'm going to completely put aside the 35 years I've been watching this game and me failing to see anything special about his running style, because I am not a pro scout or analyst.

I'll argue against taking him from this perspective.....

Todd Gurley, Trent Richardson, CJ Spiller, Darren McFadden, Adrian Peterson, Reggie Bush, Ronnie Brown, Cedric Benson and Caddillac Williams.

Those are all of the RBs picked in the top 10 since 2002. ONE elite player. There is no other position like that and it isn't even remotely close.

What exactly makes Elliot so immune to joining the not named Peterson part of that list??

The position also has a short shelf life, which probably explains why the above list is so short to begin with. It shows that teams are willing to take the chance when a player appears to be very special.

All to often for my taste, that team is very wrong.

The question I have is this.

If you are tired of the Zeke threads, then why is it when you find out that is what it is, you don't just shut the thread and find something else?

I saw one guy lamenting the Zeke thread and then came back and did it again. Two posts in a thread he hates.

Far as I know, no rules are being violated.

So what is your reason for responding to a thread you are tired of? Or begging the MODS to stop this.

This is called the draft. People are excited and wish to talk about their opinions on what would serve the team the best.

Carry on.

I don't want Elliot at no. 4, but he instantly improves both your offense and defense. How do you balance that with the effect of a solid defensive player? Won't cry over Zeke at no.4, but really want ot trade down a few spots.

Terrell Davis with the Broncos is credited with putting them over the hump during Elways 2 Super Bowl wins. Without him, the Broncos might not have even made it much less won

how can anybody not see this? we need Defensive playmakers in the worst way than a Rb who will get 15-20 carries a game.If we had a great D then we can justify Zeke but we dont.

defense do not put points on the board, and points wins games, oh and championships

Actually with nothing to play for and injuries, I was pretty happy with how our defense played all year last year, for the most part. Especially down the stretch.
