Yeah I know who he is wg. He reminds me of pat kirwan. Always giving out info that is either old or basically been heard over and over.

thats all no biggy. IF anyone needs someone to tell them that pacman is basically going to be a punt returner this year and a spare part player on defense they havent been paying attention.

I think the two minute thing is a Wade Scheme problem. When Wade was first hired, San Diego fans mentioned about his style of D in those situations. And Pacman will be fine, still have three more preseason games...but hey Henry looked really good last week. He looked pumped up, dont think he is ready to be moved to the bench yet.

I think only because he could not put his corners (Reeves,Jones) in any kind of press coverage.

Jenkins can Press coverage from what we have seen and if you can get him on the outside playing press coverage and Newman playing the slot guy, then we have something that can get us off the field on 3rd down and stop an all out passing attack in a 2 minute drill - I think!

The only thing I was excited about this year from Pacman was punt returns. I never really thought he was taking Henry's spot anyway.

I wasn't suggesting you didn't know who he was. Just providing a link just in case you wanted to read up on what else he might've written.

Maybe you missed all those threads projecting Adam as a starter beating out Henry at the beginning of the season...some even going as far as Adam being the best CB on the roster.

The hype machine was in overdrive. Glad it's slowing down.

just to kind of display what I am talking about.

Lombardi has a post in one of his threads on his blog saying that everyone one has talked to and everything he saw in oxnard said that hard knocks has been a huge distraction and has limited what they did in practice because they had to stop and set things up and wait for the cameras.

I have never heard a single person say that since camp actually started, that was the talk before camp what a distraction it would be. This is what you get from him for the most part. Just like Kirwan. Kirwan predicted our doom every single week after the buffalo game and when we finally did lose he acted like he had the key to the city and brought up all these general topics that had no merit.

I am sure lombardi offers alot, he must know everything there is to know about personnell and the day to day operations of that area of the organization, but until I hear him say anything other than the general statements we hear over and over from anyone, he is just another blogger.

I have to disagree with Pacman just "being a nickle back". He might not be Deion Sanders, but that assessment is absurd. "Nickle backs" don't put up a 5.4 YPA in a season. The guy won games at his cornerback position as well. Go ask Eli Manning and the Jaguars if this guy is a "nickle back". This guy makes it sound like Pacman spends his Sunday afternoons getting torched deep all day. A cornerback giving up a 5.4 YPA average isn't getting beat deep my friends. He isn't giving up a ton of big plays. "Punt returners" don't get drafted #6 over all, lol.

Pacman may be rusty and it might take him a little while to put it all together, but when he settles down, he can win Dallas some games.

In 2006, he won about three games for the Titans as a cornerback and punt returner. At some point, he will start. Mark it down.

You are spot on especially with regards to Pat Kirwan. Someone famously coined the phrase, "If he was so good then why is he available?" That phrase comes to mind every time I hear him on Sirius talking about what he would do if he was the GM, lol.

With the Size of the Offensive Line and Barber's Physical Running Style it will be interesting to see if we can beat into Submission opposing defense's in the 4th Quarter.

Yeah I would slow down on your secondary. If I were a Commanders fan the only thing I would be worried about is your secondary.

I am curious to see how your d looks when someone else is doing the gameplanning.

everyone trying to find something wrong with us.

Well some are. But this is an honest appraisal of a pretty good team. If we have a pass rush equal to the Giants then we will be good enough to win a SB; and in more convincing fashion than last year's version.

We do have a better secondary even discounting the fact Jenkins and Scandrick are rookies and Olgesby and Ball aren't much more experienced. I think. Reeves and Jones get no respect here but they weren't as bad as that. They just don't have the potential Jenkins or Scandrick do.

This team has the talent to be one of the better Dallas defenses I've seen in a while. They could be better than the early 90s. Maybe. It may be a year away. Hope not.

I think I've made this point a lot. At the end of the day, when the smoke clears, can you pressure someone's QB to do stupid things and can you keep their Dline from doing stupid things to our QB?

I can't argue with much of what was said.

I think one of our major strengths is our size, but on offense and defense.

I think the defense would hit the next level when/if a guy like Spencer becomes a legit pass rusher, which could happen as soon as this year. Without that extra rusher, our defense will still struggle at times.

Adam Jones is not himself, but who could blame him after being away for an entire season. I think he will find himself, say somewhere around week 6.

I can't argue with it either. A homer could proclaim all those problems "solved"...

But I would not be that hasty.

– He said the Cowboys biggest defensive weakness was two minute pass coverage; the Cowboys were one of the worst teams last year in stopping opponents at the end of halves. (Cue Giants flashback here.) Dallas needs a bigger pass rush, in his opinion, to avoid a repeat.

I also felt this way. Best way to address coverage problems is to improve the pass rush, especially in the 2 minute drill. Improving the talent in the secondary is all well and good, but the best improvement would have been to make the pass rush even more fiercesome and unstoppable.

Dallas had the opportunity to address this when Taylor was there for the taking (still can't believe all it took was a 2nd and a 5th). My fear is that Spencer either does not progress as anticipated, or Ware goes down for any length of time.

Again, Taylor paired w/Ware would have been mind bogglingly insane. At the very least, Taylor could maintain the pass rush threat (opposite Ellis) if Ware ever went down. If Ware goes down, the pass rush would wither exponentially and the coverage problems will become greatly exacerbated.

As it is, their is no depth AT ALL behind Ware_Spencer is more suited to the strong side and neither Rogers, Walden or Robertson are starting calibre on a MEDIOCRE team, let alone a team in the SB hunt.

How long is our contract with pacman?

I honestly don't expect much from him this year, if anything.

You must not have seen him return punts ..... that alone will make me want to keep him as long as we can.
