IMO the time he owed the system doesn't have anything to do with what he owes the NFL for the black eye he gave the game. 1 year is very fair.

Agreed. Its funny... when it happened MANY said he should never play in nfl again. Now the consensus is atleast one year suspension.

Time works many wonders...

They should make him live in this for 10 years...

That would be a riot to live in, in tornado alley.

If he'd been up to his neck in crap before that, like Pac, i might be inclined to say life, but i have no problem with him playing again if he payes his debt. I don't think there's any way this commish lets him right back.

Did he ever play baseball? :laugh2:

I dont think he did. But i think i read somewhere that he used a baseball bat to beat some of the defeated dogs to death.... does that count?

Why?

Why are you glad to see him out? What does he do for you? Why are you glad to see a convicted felon be free to make millions of dollars he does not deserve? What do you get out of this?

I dont think dog fighting deserves a prison sentance to be honest. So its good to see a man that shouldnt be in prison out of prison.

GO GET HIM JERRY :star:

Yea, I was actually totally shocked at how many wanted him banned for life, but mums the same word against many current players in the NFL whose actions threaten human life (drunken driving, reckless gun use, etc).

It seems like a ton of people out there value K9 life over human life. I guess they are cuter, but it is a twisted outlook none the less!

I say he served his jail time, let him earn a living. A man can only be disciplined for a crime so many times before it moves from disciplining to punishing (teaching a lesson move to something more malicious, more equivalent to revenge)

What a joke. The halfway house is full so he gets to serve the rest of his time at home.

Should let the guy with the least amount of time left go home, not Vick.

I agree that most people on this board value K9 life over human life. Lets slap those guys who danger human life with a game or two or maybe a fine. Vick does dog fighting and its an moronic uproar about it.

I do not want him at all but no need for any real additional suspension.

Whatever team signs him will have to know this year is a wash anyways.

I can see the Commish suspending him 4 games but an entire season is way overkill imho.

Let the guy get signed if he can and try to turn it around.

He was an idiot to be sure but he gave up what 70 mil and 2 NFL seasons so he has paid a dear cost.

Michael Vick had every opportunity not to be imprisoned. When you're fully conscious of knowing that you're committing a federal crime, it's a no-brainer. Hopefully, he will take this new opportunity to prosper much more seriously that before he locked himself away... after Goodell's suspension, that is.
