Vick linked to breeder
Falcons QB associated with pit bull Web site

A Web site associated with a Michael Vick company, MV7, LLC, professes to be in the business of breeding pit bulls and other dogs as pets not for fighting.

VicksK9Kennels.com states that, "We do not promote, support or raise dogs for fighting and will not knowingly sell, give, or trade any dog that may be used for fighting."

The property Vick owns in Virginia where dozens of dogs were confiscated last week in a dog-fighting investigation is listed as the address for the Web site and the company, 1915 Moonlight Road, Smithfield, Va.

VicksK9Kennels.com is copyrighted to MV7, LLC, a Vick company. Lawrence H. Woodward Jr., Vick's longtime attorney, is listed as the registered agent for MV7, LLC, by the Virginia State Corporation Commission.

In New York for league functions over the weekend, Vick attempted to distance himself from the property and blamed his family members for the activities that attracted law enforcement officials.

"I'm never there. I'm never at the house," Vick said Friday in New York. "I left the house with my family members and my cousin. They just haven't been doing the right thing. The issue will get resolved.

Vick could not be reached Monday through the Falcons. Calls to Woodward's office in Virginia Beach were not returned.

Investigation in the case is ongoing, Christine Golden of the Chesapeake Police Department said Wednesday.

How does a family portrait contribute at all to this article?

Anyway, it seems like Vick sure is in the news a lot lately. The only good hing being, donating that money to the VT tragedy.

Then I assume the pit bulls are meant as seeing-eye animals or for animaltherapy visits to children's hospitals and nursing homes.

Hmmm. Millions in the bank and not an ounce of class in the whole family.

Are you trying to tell me giving his own fans the double bird wasn't classy?

Also..... I spelled tragedy with a "j" :banghead:

Now, THAT'S a damn shame. What is Vick going to tell the Goodell now? "My lawyer didn't tell me about it when he incorporated the business."???

Marcus Vick is a punk and it looks like neither apples fell far from the tree.

Vick is tougher than I thought if he is breeding with a Pit Bull. :laugh2:

Never underestimate the powers of Ron Mexico.

I have said it many times....if raised and bred correctly pits are great family pets but thanks to irresponsible owners they have been given a bad name. You can make any dog in to a fighting dog if they are raised the wrong way.

I own a pit and have never had a problem with him.

I will wait for more information to be forthcoming before passing judgement. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy knew what was going on but on the other hand, I am sure the guy has a pretty demanding schedule and can't possibly know what is going on with family and friends all of the time.

We own a pitt bull too, and she is the sweetest most annoying dog in the world. She'll come running to you and all she wants to do is climb up and lick your face. She jumps up and is about to get mud on you, all you have to do is smack her on the nose and she goes to the ground tucks her tail between her legs and gives you the saddest face and makes you feel bad for getting on to her. Pit Bulls with the right owners can be wonderfull dogs. I've gotta admit that when my wife first brought home our pitbull I was skeptical and worried about what would happen if she got out, because of the bad rap they've been given.

True, yet it is the physical nature of the animal that makes it dangerous. I have a Golden Retriever and even if trained to be aggressive she does not posses the same physical traits that the Pit Bull has. This is why Pit Bulls tend to be trained as fighting dogs.

It's true they are stronger then most other breeds but they are not the strongest. Mastiff's, American Bulldogs, Rotties, they can all grow to be bigger and stronger then Pitts.

Yeag's is correct. It's how you train them that makes the difference.

i had a chow for a long time, never had any kind of problems, and all the sudden out of nowhere, he attacked me. cant trust those kind of dogs...ever. had to get rid of him, would kill the younger kids eventually.

Here is your pointy hat:

Unfortunately, I hear and see that quote just after the ambulance has left, the blood and limbs have been wiped up, and the the dogs have been impounded by animal control.

As to irresponsible owners: They are irresponsible for buying/breeding a killing machine in the first place. It would be safer to raise and breed cougars.

I agree, it is how you train them but there is no doubt they posses certain traits that tend to make them easier to train as fighting dogs. With a loving family they can be great pets in the hands of an idiots they can be a loaded weapon more so than many other breeds.

I am sorry guys .... the pic I was trying to post was Vick and one of his pups posing ..... but I copied the wrong link.

I posted the pic I meantto post in the Media zone.

sorry for the confusion.

Actually, it isn't easier to train a Pitt. In fact, it is more difficult because they are stubborn dogs. In fact, you have to go out of your way to train them to be viciouis because it is not really in there nature to be so. It's true that once you train them to be vicious, it's going to be very difficult, if not impossible, to change them. They are extremely intelligent dogs. In fact, they don't come much smarter then Pitt's. This, together with there physical attributes and there unwillingness to quite are what make them appealing to people who fight dogs. It's really a shame. I wrote a piece on these dogs some time ago. I'll try to find it and post it again. I've never owned a better dog then my Pitt.
