With Jamaal Jackson gone for the season, they are going to have a lot of trouble with the OL. I think Vick probably gives them the best short-term shot at winning.
I hate that the players asked for this, if that's true. I'd much rather see a rift over who should start than solidarity and belief in the guy.

He's still got "it" when he's playing the worst secondary in the NFL in the Lions. He'll still probably have "it" this week when he plays the second worst secondary in the NFL in the Jaguars. But as soon as he faces a real NFL defense that game plans against him and forces him to play on his weaknesses and exploits his limitations, he'll still be the same old crappy Vick he was with the Falcons, except a step slower.
:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: Adios Kolb! I knew Andy couldn't hold his usual hard line after that performance by Vick.... So hilarious.BrAinPaiNt;3577159 said:NFLN just reported the the eagles announced they will Start Vick for the next game.
Also announced that the skins have released Larry Johnson.

Still, most Eagle fans were conceeding that this was a bit of a rebuilding year, so they were ready to take their knocks with Kolb's learning pains. Wait until the wheels fall off the Vick wagon once he gets exposed. They've built a foundation of quicksand under Kolb. I think this is the decision that could get Andy Reid fired in Philly.

Also people like to bring up how he took Atlanta to a NFC championship game. Well McNabb took the Eagles to 5 NFC Championship games and 1 SuperBowl but he was sent packing and deemed replaceable.
Vick was never a great pocker passer. He was a good improviser.
But he is a fumbler. Look at his stats. He will lay the ball down way too much. I am not the least bit worried about either Kolb or Vick. Vick will force passes into coverage.
It's amazing how little values some fans have. Vick is and always will be a disgusting waste of human life. Dont give me second chance BS. People deserve a second chance when they make a mistake. What he did wasnt a mistake it was a lifestyle choice that he committed again and again for a few years. He would still be doing it today if he didnt get caught. Lets not forget the brutality he inflicted on these innocent animals. After they served his desire for blood he would beat them to death, electrocute them, drown them, slam them into the ground until they were dead. Anyone that can do this to an animal that is just trying to win your love is a disgusting person. That fan base and organization are disgusting as well.
If you dont like to hear this then come on over to my place. I have a few dogs that are getting hungry.:laugh1:
Also lets not forget what Mora said about him. He called him a coach killer.
Look at the coaches that he got fired with his erratic play.
He wasnt great then and he wont be now.
Zman5;3577764 said:That was me who said he doesn't have the same pressure. I lived around Philly area for 10 years so I am very familiar with Philly attitude. He doesn't have the same pressure because he is no longer the franchise QB and he is no longer the poster boy of NFL like he was before he went to jail. He is not expected to win games all on his own. He went into the season as the backup QB of a team that was not expected to do much this year. That's a huge difference. And even the dumb Philly fans know the difference.

Try listening to 610WIP online for a few hours and see what expectations the philly fans have of Vick. These fans will destroy their own mothers without remorse. Look how long it took them to turn on Kolb. 30 minutes. They saw him play for 30 minutes and they were ready to send him out.
I understand the media didnt have great expectations of Philly this year. Even some fans didnt. But lets not pretend they are a rebuilding team. They are a younger team not than 5 years ago. But the eagles are not rebuilding. They have a talented enough team to win enough games this year with or without Vick. The Eagles were a playoff team last year. We only played one more game than they did.
But i do see your points. And we will have to see how it plays out. But the fans will turn on him quick. Let him struggle for 1 game and they will be looking for Kolb to come back.
