Someone on another board found this....

Parts two and three are here... (Hope the link works)

http://www.youtube.com/user/Stadium229#play/uploads

Maybe someone else will want to embed the other parts. Haley and Leon Lett are the only two who give the current group any credit at all.

BTW, I'm pretty sure this is theebs' work. At least IIRC.

One, older players always think today's players are spoiled.

Two, these guys played for Jimmy Johnson so they are used to a higher standard.

I'm rooting like heck for this year's team, but if we fail, I think Jerry MUST sign a coach who will hold the players accountable.

Dunno, to finish your last game in Texas Stadium like that - certainly had to piss off a lot of the legends watching a heartless team crumble, then keep making excuses.

Then to get absolutely blown the **** out in a win-and-you're in playoff scenario to close your season 44-6.

I can't blame them either. It's been 15 years since we've had a team with a common purpose, hopefully we'll break that trend this year.

Oh ya I can see where they are coming from but to say Romo isn't the guy after just 2 years is a bit premature. Just because they had Aikman doesn't mean Romo can't be that yet. I believe Peyton Manning was 0-2 in the playoffs also and Eli didn't win **** till his 5th year in the league.

Charles Haley talking about respect. Pft.

Or Harper being critical of the team for being about the money.

Haley looked small and timid there. Freaked me out. Not a guy who'd get away with masturbating while talking about my wife to my face.

Pretty damning commentary, all in all, though.

Exactly. If Dixon Edwards or Alvin Harper had been drafted by the Bucs or Bengals, no one ever would have heard of them.

Alvin in particular has no room to talk about discipline or dedication. Reportedly, football was way behind women and drugs on his priority list.

I loved the 90's teams but they are last people to talk about being spoiled! They had everything handed to them on a silver plater! And I do not mean the games played on the field...

Tell Alvin Harper that the Cowboys history didn't start in 1991 when he was a 1st round pick from Tennessee.

First of all, who the hell is Alvin Harper to be talking about money and today's athletes ? His fat *** should be in hidding somewhere and praying the Tampa Bay Bucs don't send the NFL after him to collect the 10 million dollars he stole from them.

Second: who the hell is Alvin Harper to be talking about QBs ? He came into the league after Troy Aikman took his lumps and was just begining his HOF career so now he thinks ALL QBs are automatically that way or they suck ?

I can't believe the Jerrathor had the gall to bring his wideload *** back for a second time either.

They may have been "spoiled" but they were all hungry to win. Like each and every one stated, they held each other to a higher standard, all were accountable to each other, and that mindset was demanded, not just molded, by Jimmy Johnson.

It is not enough to have a tough coach, Parcells proved that. You need a coach (and/or like minded players) to inspire (through admiration or fear) a championship mentality. That is why it is so difficult to win the SB in consecutive years, many teams, players even coaches do not have that singlemindedness, that determination, that urgency, even the stamina that inspires and motivates one to be not just a champion, but a "perpetual" champion.

Ah nevermind. I just read through his posts.

I'd just like to say the entire political zone was not worth losing him as a poster.

If that forum is going to cause you to lose a quality guy like that who brings a lot to this board than you should do away with it.

Its not like he was so off base anyways by saying that people shouldn't be shocked because of Letterman. Thats what comedians have been doing for years.

When you are a public figure like that stuff like that is to be expected. Even if it is horribly wrong.

Someone should try apologizing or somethin to him.

Theebs wasn't banned for anything he said. His exile from CowboysZone is entirely self-imposed. I asked him not to do it, but he decided to play the martyr anyway.

A forum should not be "done away with" because someone gets butthurt at the slightest criticism -- which he started, incidentally.
