Theebs wasn't banned for anything he said. His exile from CowboysZone is entirely self-imposed. I asked him not to do it, but he decided to play the martyr anyway.

A forum should not be "done away with" because someone gets butthurt at the slightest criticism -- which he started, incidentally.

I just dont think the political zone was worth losing theebs and that zone does nothing but cause people to hate each other on a personal level.

Many posters, myself included, enjoy the political zone because it offers us the opportunity to discuss pertinent non-football issues with our fellow forum members.

The political zone is not for everyone, but none of the regular posters there "hate" each other or anyone else. We have spirited, often contentious discussions, but there's no genuine animosity.

You're right. That was just my first reaction.

If anything it wouldn't hurt this forum to be a little more pg13 at times.

I just wish people wouldn't have antagonized the dude to leave.

He was cool and he hooked us up with a ton of local videos. Someone needs to get on the bat-phone pronto.

Hurts a lot.

Yep. I didn't even bother watching the video, but is it really surprising that a collection of players that won three Super Bowls for this franchise would find this current makeup of players laughable?

Dunno, to finish your last game in Texas Stadium like that - certainly had to piss off a lot of the legends watching a heartless team crumble, then keep making excuses.

Then to get absolutely blown the **** out in a win-and-you're in playoff scenario to close your season 44-6.

I can't blame them either. It's been 15 years since we've had a team with a common purpose, hopefully we'll break that trend this year.

That is spot-on Apollo. Those two games, along with the Rams game this recent season were three of the most disappointing games I have watched in thirty two years of watching them. Pretty damn sad.

Can't really argue with anything the former players said.

Tell Alvin Harper that the Cowboys history didn't start in 1991 when he was a 1st round pick from Tennessee.

It started well before him and I would wager if you took five Cowboys from the 1970s and asked them about their opinions about this team, you might get similar unimpressive feedback. They might be a little more delicate about it, but I don't think many of our greats from those days would be any more impressed with this group of underachievers than these players were.

First of all, who the hell is Alvin Harper to be talking about money and today's athletes ? His fat *** should be in hidding somewhere and praying the Tampa Bay Bucs don't send the NFL after him to collect the 10 million dollars he stole from them.

Second: who the hell is Alvin Harper to be talking about QBs ? He came into the league after Troy Aikman took his lumps and was just begining his HOF career so now he thinks ALL QBs are automatically that way or they suck ?

I can't believe the Jerrathor had the gall to bring his wideload *** back for a second time either.

I appreciate the fact you feel the need to defend the current incarnation of this team, but the facts are simple. This is the longest stretch in franchise history without a playoff win. Someone said it before, the truth hurts. Even if it comes from a player like Harper. To me, he still has credibility. He made huge plays in the playoffs despite his partying ways. That's a lot more than anyone on this team can say about their clutch performances in the postseason. Fact is, we don't have a single one who could claim they played their best when it mattered the most.

Ah nevermind. I just read through his posts.

I'd just like to say the entire political zone was not worth losing him as a poster.

If that forum is going to cause you to lose a quality guy like that who brings a lot to this board than you should do away with it.

Its not like he was so off base anyways by saying that people shouldn't be shocked because of Letterman. Thats what comedians have been doing for years.

When you are a public figure like that stuff like that is to be expected. Even if it is horribly wrong.

Someone should try apologizing or somethin to him.

I didn't know what happened, either, until I saw this.

That's why I don't ever talk politics on here or other sports boards. There are a billion places on the innerwebs to talk politics... I'd rather not mix it with my sports. It seems like all it ever does is antagonize people.

Harper is an eyediot. Harp, who you gonna bring in at QB to get it done? I liked how Larry Brown stepped in after Harper made those comments about Romo.

The only part I had a problem with is when Harper (was it Harper?) who said that Romo wasn't the one.

I'm not saying that he's wrong. He might be right, but even so, I think it's a bit premature at this point to make that determination.

I realize that we live in a society that is moving more and more towards instant gratification, but come on. The guy's a two year stater, and again, the problems with this team go well beyond the QB position, yet so many people want to make everything about the QB.

Unbelievable.

I am waiting for the day the ReligiousZone opens up. Instead of folks sneaking in their beliefs in posts, we can get it out in the open. Mature people can talk about anything without freaking out.

More refusal to accept the truth. I guess this attitude of non accountability has finally begun to seep down from coach and player level all the way down to the fan level. Before too long, we'll be like Commanders' fans content to maybe win against a rival or two and that'll constitute a successful Cowboys' season.

Romo made it about him when he decided to become a "Hollywood" QB without accomplishing anything in the league. I don't begrudge the guy living a fabulous life because I would in his position. Big Ben had him cased right when he hung him out to dry before we played the Steelers last year. You keep the profile he does, you better get it done or the wolves will be out. Big Ben himself has an actress for a girlfrined, yet you never hear about it because he takes care of business football wise and has been for years now. It's too easy to say Romo's head is not in football and he does nothing to dispel that myth or lack thereof on the field.

I won't speak for Reality, but the creation of a "ReligiousZone" has a snowball's chance in hell becoming reality (no pun intended). Political discussion alone is more than a handful to handle on a day-to-day basis.

"Religion"???

HA!

#1 - Alvin Harper looks like crap now. He's really let himself go.

#2 - What does he possibly have to say about how they aren't dedicated or anything? The dude was more into women and drugs than he was in playing football and to make any comment about money? Seriously? Dude jetted the first shot he got for a big pay day and was never heard of again.

Alvin Harper should never open his mouth. Ever.

I harbor serious doubts of that ever happening.

However, if you have a message you would like to convey to people, you could always put a discreet, non-confrontational link in your sig -- much like Cajun does.
