Mike Pereira said it himself... it should have been ruled a turnover.

But once the call was made that progress had been stopped and the play was over, it's not reviewable.

BUT, had the whistle not been blown, we don't know that he would have stripped the ball.

It was a bad call.. we got a break.. just own up to it guys. TO gave the turnover back later in the game and its not like we haven't been getting screwed with calls all year.. so it is pretty much even. I think that roughing the punter rule does not exist when the cowboys play. McBriar has been hit a lot and never called. But we did get a break on that TO play.. it was clearly a turnover. the Ref messed that one up. IMO

Eh... I think it's a stretch to think that T.O. heard a whistle and let up, and THAT is why he was stripped. The entire sequence happened pretty quickly. Harris made a great play and I believe he was robbed.

Oh well, it happens... we won.

1) Every team's fans think they've been "getting screwed with calls all year".

2) A Green Bay fan would not agree that things "evened out" when T.O. bobbled the TD into Al Harris' arms. A Green Bay fan would say, "We should have gotten TWO turnovers from T.O. instead of one." And they'd be right.

In this pic you clearly see Harris has the ball and the Ref has not blown the whistle yet.

With all the calls the Boys got screwed on over the years, why are you harping on this call?? Got a problem with us catching a break for a change??

The refs made the call, get over it...

If TO has the ball and is moving backwards while Harris is locked up with TO then the whistle should be blown... as it was. His forward progress was ruled stopped.

For once TO got an early whistle before getting slammed late

Sorry but the refs blew that call. Harris stripped it.

That said, Harris should of been called for illegal contact anyway. He was all over TO on that play. In the end, the refs missed both calls. It evened out.

This is so hilarious people taking offense to this thread. I have a guy sending threating PM's saying "shut the **** up do you want us to lose?". hahahahah the game is already over.

As if those of us saying it was a strip will some how change the results of the game lol.

As Nav22 already pointed out, Mike reveiwed the play on NFLN and said it was a turnover.

I haven't "taken offense", I just wonder why a Cowboys fan would have a problem with the Boys catching a break for a change...

I think we got away with one there, and have no problem at all with that... like I said, I can remember numerous occasions in the past where we were on the wrong end of some bad calls... perhaps this one makes up for some of the ones that went against us...

My point is-- SO WHAT?? Who really CARES??

I wonder why "if you don't care" you bother to question why another fan would have a problem reviewing a play. Simple fact is I do not have a problem. The thread was started because I am a football fan and it was an interesting play that sparked a lot of debate in the game chat.

I still fail to see why the past has anything to do with this. We are football guys discussing a football play. If you don't care then stay out of it.

Ya see there is only one problem though. Forwad progress. If he player begins going backwards the play is dead and that had begun to happen before the ball was stripped so it was completed and thats why the review held up.

I'll tell you what I think I know for a fact that Benny Barnes wasn't guilty of interference in Super Bowl XIII against Lynn Swann. He was clearly in position and Swann ran over his back, there is no way that is interference even by todays standards.

So What..............

Look at the shot of Harris where the camera zooms in on his leg. He doesn't have control of the ball as he's falling out of bounds. The most you could say is that he gained control at the same time he had one foot in.

It was a catch, though.
