You're no choir boy? Is that because your username in here is gmoney? Are you straight G?.

If straight G means not caring what "Fletch" thought of me on an online sports forum, then that is precisely what I am. And to be fair, I made this name around 7 years ago with no intention of sticking around, and well now it's got sentimental value. But really, thank you for noticing.

Not many people are perfect and I don't pretend to be, but I also don't judge other people on what I deem rather insignificant circumstances in the big scheme of things. I try to look at things in scope. He's 22 and people in their early 20's are stupid, for most people that's a time of maturing. No one got hurt because of his actions, it wasn't assault or drugs, and while it was really stupid I think the hit to his ego is much greater than the loss to society by his crime.

I'm also in agreement with others that the release of the videotape was extremely bush league, if that wasn't apparent in my first post.

Randle is accountable for his own actions but at the same time releasing this is terrible, terrible form.
They have millions of clips they certainly do not release.

Randle is a 22 year old kid who feels both entitled and that this low class misdemeanor is no big deal.
So does his attorney, the NFL and the team since he didn't even miss a half of football.

His shot at Brent is disturbing and he'll get heat int he locker room for that. You just don't do that.
The rest? He looks young, arrogant to a fault and stupid but that isn't criminal just normal 22 year old behavior.

You're taking this out of context. The context being that this came directly after he was arrested for shoplifting. That's not normal behavior. Yes, I'm sure they do have millions of clips they don't release. And? Doesn't mean this guy is deserving of protection. Was releasing the Ray Rice video terrible form too? Because without that video, he was getting off with a slap on the wrist. Is that the good form you speak of? Let's keep it as confidential as possible so the powers that be can spin it any way they want? Not me, I'm glad this video was released. Folks deserve to know who this guy is, how unapologetic he really is. Sorry if that's inconvenient.

No, classy is blaming the police for this idiot. Guess what? The tape wouldn't even exist if Randle wasn't a moron. Got it? Good.

Lol!!

That one cop saying, "it's not a damn trading card" in response to the common sense inquiry RE something as patently relevant as height and weight being omitted is hilarious - those police were suffering from jealously of a rich "criminal."

Btw, people hate cops because most are absolute douches bag knuckle-draggers w inferiority complexes RE wealthy/educated professionals...

Ps. Cops typically smell like rotten milk vomit...

I'm sure that particular newscast is up for Emmy awards, yearly...

ray rice committed a crime on video, randle here is just talking.
if you can't understand the difference there you are beyond discussion.

the randle video lends absolutely nothing to the case in any way, it is merely embarrassing for him and benefits no one.

maybe you like this big brother nonsense but i do not.
if this video is released ALL video they take should be made publicly available.
no one should be able to pick and choose what to release.

I don't know. It all seems pretty harmless to me. The goofballs on the newscast acting like it was incriminating evidence of something, or the fact that the police station video was released in the first place are both more disturbing and more annoying to me.

My thoughts exactly. I had to bail someone out one time and we sat there for HOURS. To me it seemed like he was bored silly and just talking and trying to make conversation with the people working. The massage comment is odd, but hardly something to be all up in arms over.

Also just to be clear, my wife has 15+ years of law enforcement experience including as a Public Information Officer for a couple years in a city not 10 minutes from Frisco.

I have a pretty good idea how this works and how requests come into the City for information. --often by the same annoying citizens over and over.

I support the police officers of Frisco in virtually every sense, but I do not support whomever released this video to the media.
Randle is a knucklehead kid but they deal with far bigger knuckleheads and far larger egos on a regular basis.
Video taken in this context where they control every aspect of the process should not be released for "entertainment" purposes.

Video was released probably due to the Freedom of Information Act...

I haven't watched it, because the act that landed him in jail was stupid enough. I didn't need video to validate that.

I think it was clearly released to embarrass him and extend the conversation. What is a joke is the news media reporting it almost as if he had done something "additional" when they are the ones stirring the pot. To me it is one more evidence of the human condition. People love to destroy people, and that's pretty sad.

Very possible and if so then the condemnation should fall to the media person who requested or first aired it.

As noted nothing enlightening here and it is just TMZ stuff.

Very few mature people much less Mensa members are stealing underwear cologne while holding tenuous 6 figure salaries.

Maybe no big deal, but incredibly immature. But then again, so is shoplifting a tester and a pair of panties.

I could understand it if it was "used" panties and "new" cologne not vice versa.

Minor offense. He'll pay the fine. Move on, nothing to see here. Half the NFL is made up of knuckeheads like this one.

The same people who hate cops, are the same one's who will call the cops when they're in a crisis.

Okay gmoney. Maybe Calvin Klein missed the rookie symposium. While Randle was being booked, maybe a little contrition should have been exercised. Perhaps then the video would be a moot point, or had not been released at all.

Regardless of his age range--can't fix stupid.

Just speaking for myself, I would have certainly loved to see some contrition. But I don't know what is going on in his mind and heart, and I also don't have the entire two hours or whatever it was to watch. My point is that what we DO have to watch is hardly earth shattering.

Thre was contrition...the day after the arrest...to his teammates and the media. That's enough for me.

It's pretty incriminating in the sense that it clearly demonstrates has lack of maturity, lack of remorse, and overall disregard for the law and social norms. The police have an obligation to release information in accordance with the Freedom of Information act. Any annoyance should be directed at the members of the media who requested the video in question, not the police force that epitomized professionalism when presented with an entitled petty thief who just doesn't get it.
