So let me get this straight.

Dak had a great rookie year because of everything around him. Wentz rookie year wasnt as great because he didn't have the weapons and team Dak had.

Dak 2nd year he took a step back because that's who he is and they had film on him and had nothing to do with what was happening around him. Wentz got his weapons and a better team around him and was a mvp candidate because that's who he is and he's just that good, forgetting about his rookie year.

Daks 3rd year he starts off with OL issues and no TE or WR and his play wasn't as good but its on him. He gets a little help with a new WR and some better OL play and the D is dominating and starts ti play a bit better but his play had nothing to do with it, it's the D and the players around him. Wentz loses his run game, good D and wr aren't as good and that's the reason he's not playing as well, plus his knee.

What I get from all this is, Wentz has proven he needs players around him but he gets credit for it when they play well and no blame when they dont. Dak has shown he needs player's around him but gets not credit for it when they have success and it's everyone else that gets credit. Its his fault when they dont have the player's around him and the don't have success.

Wentz: doesn't have players and success drops off but not his fault .

Wentz : does have players and had success but it's all him.

Dak: doesn't have player's and success drops off but he can't carry a team and isn't a good QB.

Dak: does have players and has success but that's not him, that's the team winning, nothing to do with Dak .
Spot on!

The Dak hating/Wentz lovers love making excuses for Wentz and giving him full recognition... but not for Dak.

This thread is exposing who truly is a Cowboy fan and who is an iggles fan.

It’s not an individual stat but it matters.

There’s a strong correlation between successful QBs having a great W/L record.

Yes, the team around you matters, of course. But when you’re an elite QB, chances are it’ll show up in your career W/L record at the end of the day.

There’s a correlation because it’s part of the passing efficiency differential equation. The other part related to the quality of your pass defense, which lets you win games sometimes by scores like 10-13 when you’re playing all time great QBs.

Wentz has been terrible lately.

And before the Atlanta game last year I did read articles that talked about Dak being about 5th or 6th in MVP
In the land of facts...not the dimwit in the video ..

Dak got 1 vote in the mvp voting in 2016. But no one would ever seriously vote for him lol

For perspective...Wentz got 2 in 2017.

I don't care about Dak Prescott being as good as or better than Carlson Wentz. I only care about the Dallas Cowboys been better than the philadelphia eagles. It's always good to have players at the top of their game but it's much more important to have the team at the top of theirs.

Take what? Stupidity?

Dak gets dinged for having a defense and running game but it is ok gor Wentz lol .

Notice Deangelo said he didn't see a difference...

This is as uninformed a discussion as a lot of you partake in on here.
And they praised how great Wentz was year despite not acknowledging how great his supporting cast was and his defense lol.

And I'm actually of the belief that Wentz is better than Dak right now but the reason why I'd prefer him is exactly what Hall said. Dak is going to get a contract anywhere from 16-18 million. Wentz will probably be the highest paid qb in the league when its his turn. I will have a much easier time trying to fit 16 million a year under my salary cap then I will 30 million. Aaron Rodgers is worth 30 million because he can mask some of my flaws. Wentz isn't of that caliber.

We shall see if the so much superior Wentz can beat dak for the 2nd time in his career on Sunday.

Well don't forget a nice serving of confirmation bias as well.

If "all of the successful QBs have good won/loss records" isn't a self-fulfilling prophecy, I don't know what is...

Well let's also take note that Jason Whitlock doesn't like black quarterbacks and has made a career of dogging them from McNabb to Kapernick to Cam Newton among others. Not shocking he's now making a career of talking about how Dak is Blake Bortles.

But...but...but... Isn't Blake Bortles white? So Whitlock is comparing Dak to a white QB?

I think Whitlock may be a closet Dak-lover.

Why do these threads keep popping up?

Dak was drafted in the FOURTH ROUND.

Wentz was the SECOND OVERALL PICK in the same draft.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here... isn't Wentz supposed to be better? Even if Dak is 70-75% as good as a #2 overall, doesn't that mean a pretty good pick for the 4th round??

I'm just so amazed about these Dak vs. Wentz threads. "Wentz is better than Dak, so there!"

Um, okay, what did you expect? I would hope Wentz is the better QB for Philly's sake, considering what they gave up to draft him #2 overall.

Fairly terrible analysis going on there. Whether you believe their premises or not.

Some things are wrong here. First off they say Dak is successful because of the talent around him and Wentz is successful because he can put his team on his back.

Last year Wentz had a great defense, great OL and the number 3 run game in the league. Why does the same not apply to Wentz? People talk about the injuries....... Really Dak was missing 3 of his 5 starting OL and 2 of them are all-pro but yet beat the Saints.

I think the Eagles' Super Bowl victory dispels that difference between Prescott and Wentz. The Eagles won without him so obviously the rest of the talent was good enough to get the title with his replacement.

Now, I believe the only areas where Philly is stronger than us this year is its front four, tight end, offensive line and yes, quarterback. We're stronger at linebacker, the secondary and running back. I think the receivers are pretty even.

I like dak. He's improving weekly. But if given the choice between dak and wentz, I'd take wentz. He does everything better than dak with the possible exception of running the ball.
and so far, staying healthy.
