After thinking this over this is the same thing that happened when we played the Skins. Gibbs said Portis would not play then an article came out and said he was. I made an *** of myself saying Gibbs was a liar : .

Fisher flat out said Collins was starting so I am not putting to much stock in this report.

For those of you that claim not to be nervous, let me drop these names.

*Marc Bulger had his first NFL action against us. He nearly beat us...had a great game.

*Jake Delhomme got his first extended playing time against us when he was with the Saints. He beat us.

*Jeff Blake made his first NFL start against our very good 94' team. He very nearly beat us.

*Eli Manning looked like crap against the rest of the NFL his rookie year...but his first win was against us.

*Ben Roethlisberger beat us.

*David Carr beat us in his first game, behind a terrible line, with no running game, or decent WRs.

*Heath Shuler beat us in 95'....yes, he beat our last SB team....

Conventional wisdom says that Young has NO CHANCE....but when it comes to teams playing the Cowboys, you throw convention out the window. We're going to get everyone's greatest effort.

I'm very, very nervous about this game now. VR has been a circus this week. We have two WRs with sliced up hands. Their WRs are big and strong (like the Jax WRs), they have a talented triumverate of RBs.....

It's going to be tough tomorrow....don't kid yourselves.

Anyone who saw the Rose Bowl and then would say they are not worried is a brave man.

Personally I am nervous if Vince starts.

If a rookie QB comes in the game and beats the Cowboys...then the Cowboys are not a very good team, period!

By the way...all games are tough...but if the Boyz "loose" this game, then we can be considered worse then the RedStinks that just beat the Texans...

I agree that teams play their best against the Cowboys, but those strong receivers and talented runners have done nothing but go 0-3. If Dallas loses this game, it will have nothing to do with Tenn and everything to do with the Cowboys not having arrived yet.

If they can't beat a team like the Titans with a rookie qb, no matter who he is, then this season won't be worth crap.

I don't fear any rookie QB, but I do respect them.

That said, I hope Monday's headlines scream that he's a bust. It's nothin gpersonal. He's just wearing the wrong colors.

Damn. I was hoping Ware would sack Collins three times. Vince can move.

Collins had only been sacked four times in three games. IMO Ware is more likely to get to VY. Young is more likely to get nervous in the pocket and move around...right into Ware and Ellis. This is good news.

Not sure if this is a good or bad thing for Dallas.

Collins has played like crap this season, but he has been fairly successful over the course of his career against Dallas.

Young is as talented a Quarterback as any in the league, but he's still a rookie... and an extremely raw one at that.

I had thought Tennessee would not start him in his first game against the Cowboys, as they obviously have some great pressure guys in Ware and Ellis, and Young won't get a lot of help from the running game. Ferguson is playing great against the run, and Dallas has been shutting down backs. I think this game may be detrimental to Young's learning curve.

That being said, they weren't kidding anybody with Collins; he served no purpose with the Titans, and at least they'll get Young some playing time.

All in all, rather then an upgrade or downgrade, this move is a lateral move, imho.

Yeah, he's not faster than basically every opposing defensive player anymore. If he hasn't found out yet, he'll find out real quickly that he can't run away from these guys. He's gonna have to beat us with his arm, which I really don't see happening.

you are correct sir

and if Zimmer cant totally befuddle a rookie QB playing in an NFL type offense for the first time in his life, the guy has to go

honestly we should by 2-3 tds minimum now...if they score more than 10 pts on offense, Zimmer & Parcells will never be leading us where we want to go

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!.

This is great news!. VY doesnt stand a chance against us. Those little side armed dump off passes are not going to work against our Defense.

dump off passes worked all day against jax

Bizwah, you can add Doug "sling" Johnson to the list when he played us with the Falcons in dallas and beat us. I dont remember if he was a rookie though...

I agree with you....if Tennessee beats us tomorrow, we're not a good team.

That's what worries me.....are we going to be a good team....or are we going to be the same team that we've been since 98'?

I'm more than impatient....I want a contender...it's been years since we've been taken seriously.

My point is, there's talent there. Remember Carolina a couple of years ago? They started 1-8...or something like that. They had all sorts of talent on that team.....finally, they put it together and won their last seven games.

Patience...we will find out tomorrow! Then we will get the answer to your question. I want a contender too!

We will see....
