It's not like our defense is hard to figure out: on third down the slant is always there and so are the flats and underneath. Its not cause we blitz the linebackers, either.

^^why couldnt the skins figure this out then? The jags didnt exactly kill us on slants either but they did kill the flats and it worked due to MISSED TACKLES.

Nothing was worse than losing to Dieter Brock.

How in the he!! did we lose that game 0-20? He went 6-22 for 50 yds, 0 tds, and 1 int.

Seriously.

Um, Dickerson ran wild that day (200+ yards). Brock's stats were indeed atrocious.

Dickerson ran wild, and while Brock was atrocious, so was our offense

Does anyone know anything about their oline?

Do they zone block, for instance?

Personnel wise, I only know Mawae...do they have road graders, have there been turnovers or injuries on their line?

Edit: I just found this info in the Pacman thread. hee hee
Line shuffle: The Titans are expected to adjust their offensive line Sunday because of injuries.

Left guard Zach Piller (ankle) again missed practice Friday, and right tackle Jacob Bell filled in. Second-year pro David Stewart worked at right tackle.

Benji Olson was back at right guard after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

"Our young guys will have to step it up if some guys can't play,'' center Kevin Mawae said.

"I just have to trust the guys coming in and trust what they're going to do and they'll trust me. We have a tough opponent, and their front seven is playing really well."

The Titans also will promote tackle Justin Geisinger, a former Vanderbilt player, from the practice squad to the 53-man roster before Sunday's game and release running back Quinton Ganther.

this sucks, as many know or as u can tell by my sig i'm a huge fan of VY and hate to have to root against him tomorrow. He is going to be a star one day but right now he is still a rookie and so we should be able to beat him.
although those thinking that this game is now easier because Collins isnt starting are really mistaken. With Collins i was expecting to get at least 4 sacks against him because he has a bad O-line and not many playmakers except for maybe Givens. now with Vince we have to worry about him running with the ball or also buying himself extra time and finding an open WR that maybe initially was very well covered. We better open big against them or this will be a close game because you can expect the crowd to be excited and loud getting to watch Vince Young's first NFL start.

Even though i'm hoping he loses tommorrow just cause its against us, i'm really excited to be able to watch the beginning of whats going to be a magnificent HOF career for Vince Young.

I am also a big VY fan and a Longhorn fan;however, I sure hope that we put VY's face in the ground. I do think the game is going be closer then we would like it. I wish Vince all the luck in the world on his career but tomorrow he is on the other side.

Where did ou get your information? I'm not sure how reliable NFL.com's stats are, but you seem to be a bit off according to them. They don't include playoff games on those game logs, so maybe thats where my information is off. I'd like to know if that is the case.

They can give their greatest effort...we'll still win.

Most of it comes from my memory...which is rather shaky.

I mistook Bulger for Martin.

Delhomme did play against us when he was with the Saints..and had a good game....until then, had hadn't played much at all. He didn't pass for a lot of yards, but he had a TD run... I believe it was that score that beat us. LA was the LT that game and kept getting whupped by....can't remember his name.....Troy took a number of tough shots. Emmitt also had a tough game. The only Cowboy that had a decent game was Swinton???? He was our returner....had a ton of return yardage.

The 24-7 score in the Bengal game against Blake was much closer....Remember Shula going to Switzer and saying, "you can take that Iowa St. comment and shove it"...something to that effect. Blake hit a ton of long completions. That game propelled Blake.

You're looking at numbers to try to disprove my post, but if you watched the games in question, you'll realize that the rookies made life really tough for us.

And while VY may not light up the stat book, I think he'll do enough to really hurt us....

Maybe that's why they decided to go with the more mobile QB.

That and the fact the Collins is horrible.

if they score on the 1st drive and get a filed goal on the 2nd drive i think vince young confiednce will go up, and might beat us,but if if stop them on the 1st 2 drives i think we win easy
: )

I applaud the Titans for taking a chance. No guts, no glory.

Welcome to the real NFL Vince. May your maiden voyage really suck.

:titans:

Titanic-ally?

If when the Titanic was slowly sinking towards her doom. White Star lines sent a message relieving the captain and promoting the 1st officer. Do you think it would have made a differance?

I have no fear of Vince Young at this point, but I do think Young gives the Titans their best chance to win...they need a mobile QB to have any chance.

Smart move on Parcells' part bringing Demarius Bilbo to Dallas to run the scout team this year when we play VY, Vick and McNabb.
