The negativity from some of yall on this is just dumb - they aren’t signing him to be the “final piece” , they are signing him to contribute to the pass rush both situationally and to help with the young guys development.

I wouldn’t say it completely rules it out. Miller is a short-term (one year) situational pass rusher who’s very cheap. Crosby would be a long-term every-down player. You can have both Miller and Crosby. But I think having Miller gives us a bridge if EZE and Malachi aren’t ready to contribute right away. I think signing Crosby would be betting against our young guys.

Von Miller doubles a player our young pass rushers can sponge off of and be a coach on and off the field.

He may transition into a coach role next year which would make this a huge deal

The Eagles carried five edges last year, as did the cowboys, although there were a few weeks where each had six but I think that was usually due someone being inactive due to injury

Left OLB: Gary, Houston
Right OLB: Eze, Miller
Rotational: Lawrence

Cut: Williams, Land, Liufau, Wheat

If they keep six, then it’s probably Williams that makes it.

Land nor Wheat was never making the 53 anyway.
I do not have Liafau making the 53 anyway. Especially now.

For now to make a roster spot, Patterson or Robinson gets cut.

They will keep 8 total LB's, probably 9 until they figure out a rotation.
Probably keep 5 DL, and have a few LB's can play a few snaps at DL.

I think with Miller, they will keep 9. Which pushes a player, like a 4th TE or a 6th WR off the 53. Most likely Trigg may end up on the PS now.
