The substance policy is the substance policy, so he deserves what he gets, but at some point you have to wonder how the equivalence works out when recreational drugs (if that's what it was, and as opposed to performing enhancing drugs that actually affect games) get this sort of response.

Add it to the ludicrous instance a few years back where Wade Wilson got smacked for a PED that was only taken to enhance the coach's personal performance off of a football field. I'd say this policy could use some attention at some point.

RKGs or not, I would be absolutely shocked if there was not one player on the Cowboys who didnt smoke weed every now and again. Just because they havent been caught doesnt mean it doesnt happen.

Well, he missed a court appearance or something. Not exactly Aaron Hernandez/Oscar Pistorius stuff, you know? He should definitely be convicted of stupidity and selfishness, to have it come down to a suspension for recreational drugs, it would actually have to have been his third violation. One gets you a slap on the wrist, two gets you into the NFL's drug program and a third gets you suspended from games. A fourth means an entire season. And then to miss a court appearance while you're appealing a suspension is not exactly the brightest decision in the world. Yes, Von wears those nerd glasses, but he sure doesn't have the intellect of a nerd.
