Six-game ban likely for Von Miller

In the test that triggered the suspension, multiple sources say Miller was flagged for a "diluted sample." It happened after Miller was asked to provide a test before an offseason workout/practice and the sample was spilled, by Miller, before it was given to the collector. Miller was then asked at that time to provide another sample and he could not.

He then participated in the workout, drinking fluids throughout the activity. Miller then provided a sample that was used in the test following the workout.

At the meeting with NFLPA officials Thursday in Washington, D.C., multiple sources say discussions were held over whether to challenge Miller's positive test in 2011, for marijuana and amphetamines, as part of his appeal. The flagged samples came following the NFL lockout that kept players away from team facilities until training camp opened. Miller has also argued prescribed medication provided the positive result for amphetamines.

Nope, if anything, that happened back in 2011, which is why he is currently in the NFL drug program. Pretty sure his possible suspension is not because of a positive test, but possibly because of missing a couple of tests or counseling sessions.

Yes, the sentence has already been handed down, the appeal is just that, an appeal of the conviction. Does a person get to stay out of jail until an appeal of their conviction is heard? Nope. Here's what I've heard -- the reason he is in the NFL's drug program is because he has failed at least two tests, but it sounds like that happened in 2011. This suspension may very well be because he missed a couple of tests, rather than tested positive again. But in the league's eyes, a missed test is the same as a positive one. So, one missed test, four games. If he missed two, that's where the six games is coming from. But I think what the Broncos are arguing is that he was overseas on some USO tour, which caused him to miss one of those.

I believe in baseball players can play during appeal, but no, not in football.

got no sympathy for any idiot that risks his career doing that stupid junk. Does not matter whether its cool or not; does not matter whether its legal or not. It is against the league policy as agreed in the CBA and any moron that takes anything prohibited deserves suspension.

An idiot who's going nowhere and making nothing of themself- go ahead.
Someone who has the brightest of futures ahead of them- Screw yourself, buddy, you deserve it dummy.
Let me make your money.

This guy has serious issues. He is also listed as a witness in a murder trial. No fault of his own, but he needs to calm down his life.

...and may the comparisons to Ware end now.

I must say I'm disappointed in Miller, I was a big fan of his coming out of Texas A&M...

Six games is official

Yup, it's official! I'm going to get on Von's twitter account and thank him for being so stupid and selfish. Awful for the Broncos, great for us! Hahahahahaha!

The only thing that sucks is that the Giants and Eagles are also going to benefit. But too bad for the Commanders! Hahahahahahahahahaha!!

So Von Miller does MDMA/Exctasy, if you had a Multi Mil. and got that bored something wouldn't be quite ticking correctly, it's out of your blood in less than 72 hours, especially if you are in shape and workout and/ordrink plenty of fluids. Unless you have prolonged usage.

I heard somewhere on tv that Miller "accidentally" dropped his specimen on the floor before an off season workout and then drank all kinds of fluid during the workout, gave another sample and it came up diluted so he didn't pass the test. "Although my suspension doesn't result from a positive test, there is no excuse for my violations of the rules," Miller said in a statement.
