Yeah Newman's injury really had me down as I was sitting on my couch, I can't believe the Cowboys risks his awesome coverage abilities on punt returns, that's why it would have been nice to draft a Devon Hester because dude from LSU whom I can't name at this moment was not the answer.....

Go Boys' :star:

Speaking of LSU dude, where is he? I don't wanna see him returning kicks either! He scares me back there!

It may just be me, but if I thought like that I wouldn't be any different than those Eagle fans cheering Irvin's injury. I like to think I'm above that.

McNabb is out. I don't wish injury on any player at any time.

Of course you don't wish injury on anyone.

But that's definitely not bad for us.

It might net us an extra win.

*A lot of Romo's passes looked wobbly. Is his finger really hurt?

I must have missed those passes, most of the ones I saw were tight spirals. Are you being sarcastic or were there really some wobbly passes?

I don't wish harm on any player, and that makes me an Eagles fan. Great piece of thinking there.

Some of them did look wobbly to me.

At the time, no one knew that Irvin's injury was career ending.

*How bad did JJones want that TD? He'd been bottled up most of the day, but was still running hard. I like that
I believe it was Cato June that he carried on his back the last 5yds of that play.

*Cowboys with a 3rd and 9, run a 4 yard route.

Actually it was 3rd and 10 (11:51 2nd QTR) according to NFL.com. But I agree. That sort of conservative playcalling/route running is bad. THOUGH, it was in the first half and we definitely saw a lot more open and loose play calling in the 2nd half. But I guess it may have helped that the D was tired too...either way, I think I saw a subtle change in the playcalling.

they played a helluva game...EVERYBODY did

Another good thing Dallas did a better job of not drawing too many flags. 7 for 53 yards

That Ware sack really got into Manning's head. He saw it, called a protection, and still got whacked.

I disagree. He did not see it. When Ware shown that he was going to rush, Manning was looking the other way. Then he backed off before Manning looked back to his side. The announcers said he saw it too, but I watched it. He didn't see it coming. Otherwise he would have been more aware of Ware coming. He didn't even look to his side after the ball was snapped.

I remember specifically thinking Manning didn't see him before he backed off even though the announcers said he did. When Manning didn't even keep his peripheral vision on Ware after the snap I knew he didn't see him. There is no way Manning doesn't keep track of Ware if he knows he is rushing.

The crappy part of of those 7 is that 1 gave them 15yds and put them into scoring position

the roughing the passer flag was iffy, but it moved them over the 50 into Dallas territory.

The Brady James facemask was 15yds + 9 on the play that again put them up near midfield. (from the 29 to the 44...big difference)

they have to cut the mental mistakes

Things you forgot.

Good: Roy Williams in zone coverage.

Bad: Refs inability to call holding on offensive tackles against our OLBs (there has been at least 12 non-calls in the last 3 games)

UGLY: Roy Williams in man coverage.

Oh yeah, I also forgot.

UGLY: Dallas' offensive line getting pushed around by a smaller offensive line. (Yes even with a mere 7 man front at times!!!)

If you mean our offensive line getting pushed around by their smaller DEFENSIVE line, I think you're wrong. They didn't push us around, they were shooting gaps. That's the approach you would take when you're physically smaller....use quickness to disrupt.

Big also said that TO looked, in his press conference, like somebody on his way to rob a 7-11. "Everybody I see dressed like that is on their way to jail".

well, Big showing love for Romo is cool, but that ******** statement is.... uncool. I hate people like that. and by "hate" I mean despise x 10

You're right, he should have said ALMOST everybody. To each his own, I don't like people who refer to others as ******** but we all have our opinions.

Let me fix it by saying this. Dallas couldn't move the defense off the line of scrimage. Generally they just say, <team x> wasn't getting any push off the line. Which is exactly what the Cowboys didn't do. The Colts owned the line of scrimage in the first half. I.E. They were OWNED. Their defense started to tire in the second half. Obviously they were playing with alot of energy and intent on not losing this game. Of course when you raise your physicality to a very high level, you won't be able to maintain that level, which is exactly why the Cowboys started moving the ball in the second half.

I'm pretty sure the vast majority of TD's in the NFL are caused by a safety being beat.

Maybe so but its a little much when Manning sees Roy is in man vs Clark, points at Roy audibles then throws to a WIDE open Clark for an easy score. If they are going to use Roy in that situation they need to let him press the TE, so he can use his size and strength to throw off the timing of the play and give the Dline a chance to get to Manning. Roy in space is a diaster waiting to happen.
