Have they lost in embarrassing fashion? They've had a chance to win both games. They were not getting blown out.

Well losing faster than anyone ever has in OT via a blown assignment and a defense that wasn't ready for the play is pretty embarrassing to me.

Blowing a 14 point lead and getting outscored 22-0 is pretty embarrassing to me.

I guess it's not to you?

Man, it seems like a lot of fans have been circling around waiting for that right moment to swoop in with the things they hate about this team: Marinelli sucks, Garrett sucks, get rid of the whole team.

Where were you guys last year when we were healthy and everything was going well?

I can't believe this many are so surprised or upset that we've lost the last two games without Romo and Dez and several other important players. This is a game of inches and we're giving up a mile without stars like that. It either says good things about our team or bad things about our opponents that we've actually been competitive with Weeden at QB, Williams as our lead receiver, players like Jack Crawford and Ryan Russell having to play significant snaps, a rookie linebacker who had played only a few snaps having to step in for Lee, etc.

When things fall apart like they have this year, you hope and pray for a win knowing that you should lose to teams that have a better QB starting, better No. 1 receiver, etc. The expectation around here are just unbelievable. Even if we were starting Cassel instead of Weeden, we could expect to go no better than .500 with Romo out because these guys are backups for a reason.

I agree 100%. It's totally insane to me. Everyone should be going into every game thinking we'll lose and then allow yourself to be surprised. We're down to 2nd stringers everywhere but the Oline and secondary. THAT'S awful.

hmm, it's been 2 decades since we've won a Super Bowl. I've been grumpy for nearly 2 decades.

many fans here have the emotions of a 15-year old girl angry at her parents, with the intelligence of a 7-year old.
for some reason it shocks me how pathetically dumb some people are here. you ain't got the answers fools!

Thats the way you see it.

The way I see it, the fact that we were UP in those games (particularly at pivotal points in the game vs. ATL) shows we should have won them. That's not being unrealistic. Too many punk mindsets around here, with guys just happy to be there instead of closing the deal.

So teams having a lead in games means they should win? Let's just start calling games at halftime then.

It's not about mind-set, it's about knowing what we are right now and what we are is a team with some major injuries and absences just trying to get through them while hoping to sneak a few victories. It's about reality vs. fantasy.

Tells me that it's a team game.

You don't have a consistent rushing attack, you don't have much of a pass rush, you don't have a threatening passing game, even the healthy areas of the team are going to look like weaknesses.

we should have beaten NO. other than that, am i upset we lost to teh Falcon, yes, only because i feel we culd have beaten them. Am i mad over it, no. DO i feel we are beating the Pats, no. Do i feel we sent a message to the rest of the NFCE, "Dallas will beat itself more mentally than beating you physcially" Very much so. Am i correct. I dont know, we ll see when its all said and done.

thats the name of the game. some can overcome it by fixing other areas, some just stand on the sideline clapping. Am i saying Garrett doesnt try, no, but there are a lot of head scratching moments with him that he should be beyond at this point and it seems like every game "he finds something new to learn" even tho he should have clearly learned it. Do i expect it every now and again, no, but each game should not be a training model for becoming a head coach.

The penalties are becoming a bit much as well.

Correct sir.

now im not trying to change teh argument. but my complaint was I was hoping for Weeden and company to win 1 game. NOt asking him to do more than that. just 1.

I was wrong about Green bay. I will admit that (screw the stats that back it up)

He will have a chance. I think he looked a bit more relaxed in this past game than the 1st one. He impressed me in how he drove the team 91 yards down the field with time running out to tie the game up and to send it into OT. I think had defense played well we could have won, I think the main key is being realistic with a backup QB. People who are expecting him or Cassel to put the team on their shoulders are kidding themselves. What most teams expect from their backup is to manage the game, do not make critical turnovers and help keep us in the game. Defense has to play better, they have to create turnover and make some big stops. Most teams I have seen who have gone to the backup do the same thing they are not putting up monster games they are managing the games and rely on the defense to help. in 2 games with Weeden we have put up 28 and 20 points that should be enough if the defense is helping

I can agree with all that. My problem is not the players, they are bound by the coaches. So i dont expect Weeden to win every game, but NO was doable and would have helped a lot. I personally feel its not just a loss but an "oppurtunity passed up"

I agree, NO and Alt both winnable but not when Dallas is allowing a RB 141 rushing as they did vs Alt or allowing Spiller to take in the distance untouched on a simple wheel rout. What Dallas is getting out of Weeden is pretty much what I was hoping for. It was not going to be a case where the offense was going to run smooth, but if they could avoid giving up turnovers leading to easy points and yet also put up 20 plus points then I felt he did what was expected. Defense has to perform better.

Mental mistakes often go hand in hand with lineup changes. One of the reasons the Eagles are struggling so much right now is because Kelly foolishly thought he could just interchange players and everything would run smoothly. We're essentially having to do the same thing with worse players and expecting different results.

There are things I'm disappointed about (and I don't want to come off as if I'm not), but my main point is people are using this as an excuse to complain about everything they've been harboring (and couldn't complain about last year because we were healthy and playing well) instead of seeing it for what it is.

Having a bunch of injuries makes the whole thing stink when it doesn't, just like having the health, especially among our star players, like we did last year creates a sweet aroma that covers up the things that do stink.

it also seemed just seemed, a few passes should have been caught by our boys and they werent and teh defense was like "next time buddy" to me, you gotta get those.

That's our only hope that Hardy, Gregory and McClain can get this defense up to the level where we can afford the offensive lapses that are going to happen without Romo and Dez. Don't see them being able to do that against the Patriots because of how good New England is and time not being on our side, but after the bye, hopefully this defense can rise to the occasion.

Well it's only going to get worse after Brady drops 50 on us and is holding a clip board with 8 minutes left in the 4th Quarter.

I agree, in my view these are not JAG players these guys are difference makers. They have the ability to make the big plays and change the game. As for Pats, I think they are a great team and I expect Dallas to be the underdog but I also expect this team to show the will and fight to go out there looking to win. As for the fans I don't expect anyone to pick the Cowboys but I do expect the Cowboys not to back down to NE or any team. They will have to create turnovers in this game and set the offense up in situations where they are playing a short field.
