Wade: Barber has a broken thumb, Ware stress fracture in foot

These coaches suck. Ware probably blew them off when they asked about his sore foot.

It's annoying.

In the last three seasons this has been the worst managed team as far as injury situations go in the history of the NFL.

That's a fact.

If the NFL best defensive player even remotely complains about a sore foot you get him to the best foot specialist in the league. Instead thi team waits a few weeks to even get him an X-Ray.

:laugh2:

Cant argue with anything you said. The players do run this team. Wade has a coordinators mindset only he's the head coach.

And our injury management is the worst I've seen since I've been watching football. It's pathetic. We need a new medical staff next year.

LOL at this being a coaching problem.

Guys get hurt all the time in football. They don't run to the doctor everytime they get an ouchie.

Some guys know this... They just want to bash the coaches for anything. It's stupid.

No they don't but when your player isn't himself even the fans watching knew something was off you talk to the player and see how theyre feeling and what the potential problem is you don't wait til you have to scrape them off the field before checking injuries

like bbgun said xrays are cheap specially considering were talking about a professional sports team who likely have some if not most of the equipment on site

Every Cowboy practiced on Wednesday but coach Wade Phillips said Marion Barber suffered a fractured left thumb against Kansas City and DeMarcus Ware has a stress fracture in his foot.

Phillips said both players will start Sunday against Atlanta.

Phillips said Barber complained of soreness after the Chiefs game but practiced without trouble during the bye week. He had an MRI after he complained of soreness on Monday that revealed the fracture.

Barber is right handed so Phillips does not believe carrying the ball or cacthing the ball will be much of an issue.

Ware has not missed a game with his injury and had his MRI on Monday as well. Phillips said Ware has not been slowed by the injury and won't keep him off the practice field.

Well Barber's just happened last game.

And even if they did know about Ware's, so what? There's no treatment other than rest anyway.

Let me sum up, this team sucks, everything this team does sucks, every player on this team sucks, every coach sucks, and the media follows suit.

Ware could do serious damage to that foot if he plays on it. I would be suprised to see him make it the rest of the season. Those things are pretty painful, especially in a position that requires such speed and agility. Not sure how a football player gets a stress fracture though, thats a new one for me.

More the trainers in this instance. Ya think Jerry might have an X Ray machine in the new palace?

There's no evidence at all that the players in question were hiding these injuries. Misdiagnosing, covering up, or pooh-poohing injuries is a Valley Ranch trend, not an aberration.

this team is such a failure right now. so disapointing (shakes head)

Such a waste. I don't even know why I waste my time with this bull**** team anymore.

We have the worst coaching staff and trainers in the league.

Um, no he couldn't. It's basically like shin splints. It's a hot spot that is painful, but that's it.

What do you think is going to happen if he plays on it? His foot will crack wide open? These are hairline fractures we're talking about.

No kidding. Unlike MRIs, x-rays are cheap and easy to facilitate. Never underestimate the incompetence of Dallas trainers.

this one falls on Juraszek

fire

Juraszek cause there some reason our guys are getting tired at the end of a game

So naturally they x-rayed it right away.

Oh.

That's what I don't get.

Guys making millions.

If something doesn't feel right .... X-RAY THEM!!!!

To be fair, that was 9 days ago and MBIII probably should have been ordered to take an xray. I can't get on fans about this team and it's seemingly inept way it treats injuries.

And people complain that they don't do enough tackling and full speed drills in practice. Think about how many injuries they would have if they did.

I disagree with this assassment.

And you know this because you follow all 31 other teams as extensively as you do the Cowboys?

I do agree that if Ware was letting anyone know about this, combined with his play on the field, they should have had him off to the lab instantly. No guarantee that he was complaining about it. Ware does not strike me as the complainer type....

We're still the most talented team in the NFL.:
