Wade: Barber has a broken thumb, Ware stress fracture in foot

being in the nfl doesn't make you any tougher than anyone else....

Linebackers in the NFL aren't exactly softies.

I can deal with Barber's fractured thumb.

But a stress fracture in Ware's foot? Oh man. That's going to linger and limit his productivity the entire year.

Crap.

Probably, but I broke my thumb as a kid and dear lord was that extremely painful. The only thing I thought that was more painful was when I seperated my shoulder.

And people complain that they don't do enough tackling and full speed drills in practice. Think about how many injuries they would have if they did.

That's a pretty valid point.

have you seen carpenter play? i think i would have a chance against him and i'm 150 lbs. if he was 150 pounds he would be confused with a woman.

whenever I see your name I think of Archibald Witwicky from Transformers for some reason

Actually, Wade said Ware said the foot's been bothering him for "a couple weeks" which probably means 3-4 weeks and it's extremely bothersome they just now did the MRI. It's not like he's a Haynesworth and hurt every other play. I mean come on.

Are you kidding me? You're comparing your peewee high school football toughness to an NFL all-pro linebacker? I didn't miss a game in high school at the 5-A level and I'm 5'11 170, i guess hat entitles me to tell Ware and the coaching staff that they are idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!

His foot hurt, so what? Ratliff takes an ice bath after every game and i guarantee you Ware has bigger problems at the end of a game than his foot hurting. He's a man, men do manly things, including playing with pain.

You'd get decapitated in 5 snaps at the NFL level. Respect the game.

:laugh2:

This isn't a pissing match about who's tougher. The injury is the same. If he's got a stress fracture in his foot it's going to hurt the same.

Why did you stop him? It was bound to get interesting.

No kiddin. I would have loved to see the train wreck that would have ensued.

Umm what?

The 03 and 05 drafts are the best drafts we have had in the whole decade.

Throw in the undrafted guys that were brought in and the players picked off other practice squads those years and you are completely wrong.

The 08 draft was good, but nowhere near as good as the 03 or 05 drafts and offseasons. Newman-witten-james-romo in 03 is better than 08 by a long stretch. The best player of the 08 draft cant even help the team, he is basically not even part of the team to this point.

Revisionist history is a serious problem around here. People completely forget how this team was built.

This argument is pointless in my opinion, Jerry was the GM for all three drafts, and all three were excellent. If you want to rip him when he screws up, you should give him credit when he is right.

He is the one who brought in Parcells. And Jimmy for that matter.

You give him way too much respect. :D

Well at least there's a good reason why Ware hasn't been playing up to his standards. I don't care about Barber though, why we use him for anything other than 3rd & 1, 4th & 1, and goal line with our other two RB's is beyond me.

Such a waste. I don't even know why I waste my time with this bull**** team anymore.

We have the worst coaching staff and trainers in the league.

lol don't complain.....just leave

real simple:D

Fact: injuries happen...whether it happened 3 weeks ago..or not..it still happened..so whats the problem? you are all mad that you didn't know right away? :lmao:

What a bunch of women on this board

"omg we should have been knew this!".... get over it

obviously is didnt bother ware to much so 2 things would have happened..

1) we bench ware, and get hurt on D, whether its rushing the passer or run D(even with a hobbled ware he still gets a lil pressure)

2) he plays thru the injury

i think 2 would have been the option..just like he is now...stop crying girls

Agreed. This is where I thought signing that Pats LB would be a good idea, just for some depth behind Ware. He takes a beating from two guys on nearly ever play, guy's gonna start feeling it eventually.

If we had quality depth at OLB i'd have no problem letting Ware sit out a week. As it is, I don't think we have a choice. He's still a pro bowler in hobbled form.

Ask the 90s teams no one practiced harder than Jimmah.
