Wade will have as much control over things as Parcells did

I am curious to see how Wade plans to use our LBers....

Obviously, Ware will start. And Ayodele. And probably Carpenter too.

But I wonder if Burnett starts at OLB, and Carpenter slides in.....or if James remains at ILB and Carp and Burnett fight for OLB....

Or if we bring in someone via draft or FA.

Donnie Edwards is expected to be released. He'd be a good leader and conduit for Wade's new defense.

ive known DizzG from Spurs message boards and i trust him. while i have not agreed with many of Jones' decisions i have never thought him a liar. and Phillips doesnt have the reputation of a liar.

So exactly how am i being gullible? because i dont agree with your illogical agenda?

hr got fired because he wouldnt fire dehaven in buffalo after that playoff loss so now all of a sudden hes a coward. sorry that your take makes no sense.

Who else other than BP did Jerrah give a lot of control to? Don't say Jimmy, because he left because Jerrah was starting to intrude. He also knew if he wanted the Boys to return to prominence, he would need a big name coach. That was Parcells. Now that that experiment failed, he isn't about to give a coach as much control as he did with BP.

I would agree if I didn't think much like Norv this is his last shot at any HC position. Did any one even interview Phillips besides the Cowboys for a HC spot?

Most of the teams looking for coaches run a 4-3.

He's been a coach in the NFL how long? I would think he could run both. He's been around a while.

BP got control, because he demanded it. Parcells has shown that he will walk away from a job if he doesn't have control. Phillips has shown that he will also give up a job if a decision that he feels strongly about is forced upon him. Jimmy was also the same way. Gailey and Campo did not have the same conviction.

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!

Are you actually trying to discuss football?
What our new HC plans to do with current personel.

Look it doesn't matter because Phillips a joke and Jerry's the devil.
We'll never win anothe game.

Oh, and Romo's gay.....Not that there's anything wrong with that.;)

Again the statement was made. You may think the scenario unlikely due to past experience with Jones but with this statement said you either have to take it face value or believe someone is lying.

I just want to know who you think that is.

Wade will have as much control over things as Parcells did according to what he just said on the Ticket. so much for being a puppet
I hope you are right. That will be a hard sell for a while until we see it for ourselves.

Jerry begged Parcells to coach, Wade begged Jerry to let him coach. You really think Wade's going to have the same power?

I think someone is lying. I think that someone is Jerry. He hired a defensive guy, so he probably won't have to worry too much about that. But when it comes to the offense, Katy bar the door.

Jerry started to force his ownership on BP with the TO decision. Everyone knows that BP wouldn't give 2 cents for TO, but guess who was on the team? Doesn't matter what BP would've said, Jerry wanted TO so TO was on the team. And this was supposedly a guy who had all control on football matters. It hasn't been said, but I think BP envisioned Jerry being more involved because the team didn't progress the way he wanted it to.

Don't set yourself up man. You'll look foolish.

Wade will have a lot of power - not as much as BP, but a lot more than Campo and Gailey. I just have a hard time believing that he would be a puppet based on his past. Norv also appeared to have no desire to be a puppet. If Jerry wanted a puppet, a younger coach would have been much easier to control in that roll.

Jerry hired Wade to fix the 3-4 defense. He was the most qualified coach available to accomplish this.

No, I would rather we signed Rivera. Phillips is the best of a bad bunch after that. He don't have it in him to even try to gain control from Jones.

ok, I was for Rivera myself...

Now that it isn't Rivera, I am glad it isn't Norv. I hope somehow we can grab Rivera as the DC but I am not sure how that would be any different from what Rivera has in Chicago under Lovie's shadow.

True. Jerry was desperate after the Campo years. He finally caved and hired a proven name HC. Now that BP didn't achieve as much as everyone expected, JJ apparently feels he can run it his way again just as effectively.

That part I agree with.

What was written ( not saying it was true) was Rivera wanted HC or nothing.
JJ bringing Garrett here and giving him consideration for the HC job more than likely would scare another young guy off. I think we get Phillips for two maybe three years then it's handed over to Garrett.

If im wrong im fine but ill stand by what i said. I have seen jerry do some really really stupid things. The whole Underwood/Spellman thing comes to mind. But he did that because he thinks with his heart and not his brain too often.

Jones may have done some stupid things but hes never lied about anything big and public like this that i can recall.
