He's not a big fan of Dak. He did a breakdown of Dak after the 49ers loss but refused to do one after Rodgers choked against them too. Dak actually had a better game than Rodgers against the 49ers. So why didn't he do a breakdown of how THE Great Aaron "Generational QB" Rodgers choked against them? Thousands of people, including myself and other Cowboys and 49er fans, were asking him on Twitter to do one, but he didn't. He's got an agenda since he only did a breakdown of Dak.

So now he has an agenda? lol okay

Warner does a great job here.

He is critiquing everyone.

A couple of plays WRs ran weak routes. Especially where they were influence routes.
The scheme did no favors on another set. "How can I expect my QB to go through progressions when routes all break at the same time?"
I don't like that call versus this coverage, need a tweak to route tree, et al.
Then there were plays he'd prefer Dak take other routes than the ones he chose as well.
Versus this coverage that would be 3rd choice because it is such a hard throw.

All in all very good study and not at all insulting to Dak or anyone else.
It is game of inches.

A couple non-Warner notes from me.

Baylor-Ex Jalen Pitre played lights out. He really had a special game. As did the LB who kept dropping quickly and skying like a 6'5" hooper.
Houston did a really good job overall on defense.
Dak was not comfortable or accurate much of the day. HOU did a really good job with its safeties and LB of covering tons of ground and cheating to Lamb/Schultz taking away Dak's favorite targets.
But with game on the line Dak feasted on those same coverages. He hit Brown and Gallup for the big plays inside the HOU 40 to go win the game.
The softer coverage on the Dallas side of the field he used Schutlz and Lamb.
Then when he compressed, he knew who to hit.
That is very, very good stuff.

That's a fair assessment.
That a fair assessment of about 10-12 QBs.

Pretty easy to argue there is one truly great QB right now in Pat Mahomes Jr.

Brady and Rodgers are aging and struggling this season.
Josh Allen has numbers eerily similar to Dak since Dak returned. Not shockingly both Bills and Cowboys just added vet WRs to give those QBs another weapon.

He’s always mentions Dak needs an extra tick to confirm what he is seeing, but he also mentions having man and zone beaters with each call, not one or the other. Love his breakdowns. I don’t only watch his Cowboys breakdowns, I watch his others too and it’s well worth the time.

I really wonder what would happen if he got with Dak over the summer and spent some time going over reads etc. essentially that’s what the QB coach is for but though. Warner seems like he would welcome it.

The more I watched of this video the more I believe he was complaining about the Cowboys play design rather than Dak. Dak cannot adjust the receiver routes after the ball is snapped so Warner must not love the Cowboys play design.

But at the same time, it's not like this offense isn't moving the ball and gaining yards, and scoring points.

I will say that Dak is making a few bad decisions and he is paying for them. If he plays a clean game, makes good decisions and accurate throws the Cowboys offense is unstoppable.

And but, Dak has had a history the last few years of playing his worst football in the second half of the season. Was the Texans game that scenario again, just delayed because Dak missed 5 games, or was it just 1 game where he, and the rest of the team were off their game?

Interesting breakdown by Kurt Warner of Dak's play vs Houston.

Thank you for sharing, I like Kurt's breakdowns... he doesn't always seem to understand 'modern' offensive concepts and he can sound kind of stupid some times but I'm two plays in and
the first play he is critical because Dak isn't aggressive and looking for the big play
and the second
he's critical for Dak looking for the big play.

People are going to hear what they want to hear. But yea…he questioned multiple route concepts, recommended a few things for Dak to work on and said he’s a “very good QB.”

People claiming this as some kind of major knock on Dak aren’t paying attention.

After watching a good portion of it.

1) Several bad designed plays leaving Dak with no good options

2) Several good plays with recivers having great separation and Dak makes the worst choice possible

3) Plays starring down his first read where the second or even third option is open by miles.

4) Warner mentioned a few times he would like Dak to be more aggressive on some throws

Had a good mixture of everything. Seems to me the recievers are getting separation more often than not however Dak is struggling to read defenses correctly.

The first redzone breakdown was atrocious. Think it was the fitst. *** kind of play calling was that
It is really telling. Dak cannot read and anticipate even with the play action making it simple for him.

They were played in completely different conditions. The Packers vs 49ers essentially came down to special teams in extreme playing conditions.

Dak is one of, if not the most, anti cerebral quarterbacks in the league. The guy lacks self confidence at the most critical position. That’s why he’s always late on throws. He’s even late on swing passes and dump offs.

And it’s not changing.

Ever.

I’ve accepted it. Seen enough. And I can’t see him beating a bad Bucs team in a few weeks time.
