Yeah, I know alot of you don't like him but he predicted 25 for DWare this morning on the NFL Network with Michael Irving as his co-host....crazy?


my opinion: not only COULD it happen it WOULD happen if Rat and Spence were healthy...but they aren't so it won't. He'll get doubled alot and will get about 15 sacks this season. Those 2 guys piss me off and frustrate me to no end btw...especially Rat.

I would ask what is different about this year that makes 2013 the year he is primed for 25 sacks vs the previous 8 years in the league when he didn't achieve 25 sacks?

Sapp has been very high on our defense all offseason. He's partial to the Tampa, obviously, but he has been gushing about Ware any chance he gets.

He's no longer a linebacker, which means he doesn't have to drop into pass coverage.

I think you may need to break it down even further.

In the 4-3, as a DE, Ware goes after the ballcarrier 100% of the time, whereas, as a OLB in the 3-4, he had coverage responsibilities. Therefore, given more opportunities to go after the QB, we can reasonably expect an increase in sacks. (((school bell ring)))
