Warren Sapp doesn't believe Parsons is good pass rusher

Everything that everyone else said, but also: Micah Parsons has nothing to do with Abdul Carter.

All these “he went to X school! Look up their history!” Opinions are the most ill-informed. Jimmy Clausen isn’t a great QB because Joe Montana went to Notre Dame in the same way Carson Palmer wasn’t a bust just because “USC QB history!”

There's way more to being a good DE than pass rush ability.
Erratic with lack of discipline, getting caught out of position, giving up run yardage on the edge, putting the opposing team in favorable second and third down yardage situations, ...... game killers.
A sack a game does not make up for it.

Yeah he gets doubled, held, schemed, etc., but so do a lot of DEs. That's football.
He's no Ed Jones or Harvey Martin.
You will get no argument with me that Parsons is a rush LB playing pretend DE

BUT

He is a great pass rusher

yes, as long as he's not creating escape lanes for the QB to get up or outside, or trying so hard to get upfield that he gets suckered into letting a run go through the opening he has created.
A few mistakes like that can cost the team big, and negate anything good he's done.
He has a propensity to let his emotion and intensity override responsibility.

I don’t think Patrick Mahomes is that accurate of a passer he just benefits from his receivers having hands

Context......He thinks the three best players in the draft are Hunter, Sanders and Ward, NOT Carter. Of course, ghe coached two and Ward is a Miami Hurricane.
He's a joke.........this from a huge Miami Hurricane fan.

Sapp, as my grandmother used to say "God don't like ugly."

Warren Sapp knows this game and how it must be played on the highest level. If he made statements about Micah, good or bad, take it to the bank. I've always thought Micah was most effective at linebacker. In his rookie year some of his most game changing plays were in coverage . To me, he's a linebacker first. Most of his snaps should be there. We need to be more selective on when he's coming off the edge. We should also move him around.

I couldn't care less what Sapp has to say about anything. Never liked him BEFORE all the allegations. Always thought he was just a baffoon.
What allegations? I guess I must have missed it. Aside from whatever off the field stuff, purely football stuff, when he says an opinion about a current player, it holds some weight. My ears perk up when he stated what he did. Maybe he's a bad human being off the field, but on football matters, I trust him.

Radio row at the Super Bowl--where fading used to be stars try to hold on to relevance. Anyone see Jerry Rice walking around?

Wow, just read a few of the Sapp off the field allegations. Not a bright dude off the field. I will say this, just read what he said about Tyler Smith, and he was obviously wrong. He's definitely human after all. Thanks for posting the link night train.

Is Micah a GREAT pass rusher?

I would say no. But then there are very few of those.

But to claim a guy averaging 13 sacks a season is not a good pass rusher is beyond dumb

This guy is actually a complete idiot if he actually believes what is coming out of his mouth.
