Was ridding Ronald Jones a mistake?

Why? He’s the one that got himself suspended which led to his release
but it's a double damage it he was hurt and suspended so no it wasn't a mistake letting him go he's not better than any of the guys on this team I think the issues with our run game being inconsistent it has to do with the inconsistent offensive line and the miss utilization of the other players on this team...

..wake up call for myself as well. I thought he could do it. Nope.

Game is to physical brutal.
I don't think they went into the season with him as the lead back he's supposed to be RB one but that doesn't mean you missed utilize the guy and by the way it was obvious last year the last five games I've been saying this for now I don't know how long Tony Pollard should not be getting this many carries especially not in between the tackles and dirty yard stuff should he get most of the carries like the bigger part of the split yes but it used different in the game..

Why do I say this because we had proof last year he finished the season the last five games 3.8 yards per carry no touchdowns no explosive plays 51 yards per game, was that not obvious the more carries he got the worse he was??

They are wearing his legs out there miss utilizing the guy we have guys on this team if used in a better fashion for what they do best from the beginning like game one they wore Pollard out we should have been using these other guys...
I mean the guy hasn't been bad he's just been average he's no longer explosive or special you know lost like we called zeke 4.2 yards per carry two touchdowns in five games I wouldn't call that great but I also wouldn't call that a disappointment that he just cannot run between the tackles like they tried against the better defensive lines he's better at what he's supposed to be good at they're not using him properly,,, he's actually been pretty steady but he can be more explosive if they pull back and they get hunter and Rico in more I'm talking about right at in the beginning they gotta stop worrying about Tony Pollard being labeled the starting running back

...yep, good points there. I think thats why Zeke, worked well with him.

He got the dirty yards. Then 6 plays later, TP came fresh, ready to hit in stride.

I'm discouraged that MM, cant see that. .. sigh.

Jones would have certainly provided more than Vaughn who’s been wasted roster spot so far.

Yeah, he’s been disappointing. Heck the entire running game has been disappointing.

Yeah well maybe this has something to do with promising Tony Pollard RB1 and paying him $10 million and I think they're just trying to force a square peg into a round hole and that's just not working we have Rico dowdle we have hunter we have bigger dudes they need to start the game out with them in the backfield and work Pollard in just like they did before and he could still get the most carries if that's what you're trying to put in his mind he's the running back starter then you can give him 13 in the next guy can be at 10 and the next guy can be at six etcetera etcetera but it's when you use him is important with a guy like him.. I mean he's like 10th in rushing yards but it's yours for carries a little suspect but you look at other guys that are supposed to be younger and more explosive like bijon Robinson they aren't far off.. It's clear Christian McCaffrey is the best running back in the league this year but everyone else falling down below pollard's not that bad he's just not being utilized properly.. He won't make it this year if they keep putting the load on him like this he's gonna get worse each game and hopefully this one of the things they're talking about...

Says you like you're supposed to tell the future and we're supposed to believe you that Jones would have done more here not the way the coaches are utilizing the backs he wouldn't have and deuce bonds not a waste he's just only offers what Turpin did but Turpin almost missed four weeks and we would have needed deuce Vaughn he's a rookie he will eventually get worked in it but he's gonna be in a role much like Turpin and and I believe if he gave him enough snaps he could be Tony Pollard in the right situation but no he's not a waste that's ridiculous to say that Jones just miraculously you know this for a fact because you wrote it we're supposed to believe you that he had provided more so the coaches are all wrong and you're right because you post on this social media even though it's all hyperbole guessing hypotheticals possibilities you just know it though because you say it... Seems to be a disease around here with know it all egomaniacal nostradamus types.. :muttley:    :lmao2:

I was screaming for Zach Charbonnet in the 2nd round.
After looking at his rookie stats so far it was probably best we didn't take him.
The Cowboys never had great success without a great RB in their history.
The RBs are a"dime a dozen" is a myth. They still matter in this league.
I would not rule out taking an RB with a late first round draft pick.

It still makes me sick we didn't end up with Bijan Robinson even though I knew it was impossible he would fall to us.

Some fans got their expectations way too high for Vaughn. I saw everything from him having a 1000 yard season to leading the team in touches. It was crazy!

Charbonnet wasn't available when Dallas picked in the 2nd round.

..I was on the fence with Vaughn. Actually, didnt know what to make of it.

Did they get him, because of offense system being implemented? Or gadget guy?

One glaring aspect stood out, though. The guy is way to small.

...looking at our RB situation right now. We basically, have two RB's who do Ok and are limping around. (TP/Dowdle)

Vaughn is practically non-existent. Leupke is gadget player.

Jones had Zeke power, and more speed. He could have brought the 1-2 punch offense needed.

Is it mandatory, you cut a player after PED/s accusations?
Jones is awful. He is still available. No one wants him for a reason

With as little as he’s been used, it’s anyone’s guess as to why he’s on the roster. They made such a big deal drafting him appears they wanted to give him a chance. I don’t expect him back next season unless they find a role for him.

Why? Why would you want someone back who just a few weeks ago you decided wasnt any better than what you already had.

Plus Evans hasnt done anything here yet.

It’s almost like they’re saving him for something. Whatever plans they might have had for him entering this season haven’t materialized so far.
