Was that the right call at the end?

I don’t know. I only know what they said on the broadcast about there being 3 different infractions.

Hopefully they get someone from the NFK officials office to clarify and set it all straight
They I think have since stopped saying it was 3.

So now it’s basically the confused the ref and they probably should’ve drawn attention to it.

Like if you wanna call a timeout or throw a challenge flag make sure the ref sees jt. It’s mot their job to help you trick purple

I’m hoping someone from the NFL says this in an official statement or tweet or something. If Decker did report as they said would the play have been legal? I’m hoping the NFL clarifies. Or not, we won and we’ve been jobbed by the refs at times so I’m not too upset. I’ll take it.
The Lions receiver, Reynolds, he covered Decker up....so that made Decker ineligible to catch a pass anyway. All are 5-yard penalties.

Only thing I’ll say is that particular ref Brad Allen is horrible and corrupt. He’s constantly at the end of controversy. The NFLZ needs to investigate him. I am a bit surprised because he usually screws us over. Today it was the other way around.

Dude yes, they are still sore from getting F'ed over by the refs in our playoff match up lol.
Well, they’re still wrong then.

Hitchens didn’t get his head turned around, but he didn’t interfere or even really make contact either.

Maybe if their QB wasn’t throwing the ball short just to get a flag they would have possibly converted.

Let's all just think twice about bashing the Refs and blaming losses on them, because today was a gift. ;)

I’m not seeing it that way.

If he covered him up, that would make 8 men on the line which is obviously illegal.

But Reynolds was about a yard back.

I think there was just a miscommunication between the Lions and the refs.

OK, good point. The illegal formation may have been on the other side with #70, who the ref thinks reported, and he can't be covered by an ineligible player. And #58, an extra lineman, motioned in and went into a 3-pt stance on the LOS next to him. That would render the whole formation illegal since an "eligible" receiver can't be covered by ineligible one.

But then this goes back to who the ref thought reported, and it was #70, not #68 or #58, even though they ALL approached him.

Strange.

Basically, the Cowboys got very lucky tonight, no matter how you look at it.

Naw this game shouldn’t have been this close. Need to stop fumbling on the one yard line.

But they did, and then needed the refs to bail them out.

It's just hard to see this Cowboys team not making silly mistakes in the playoffs that will cost them a game. They have to overcome themselves, and in the Big Games, they just find a way to make it harder than it should be.

You can cover up someone who reports as elligible, but it makes them ineligible.

So basically 70 reports as eligible, is covered by Wide Out, and now his report as eligible becomes useless.

Everything pertains to 68, really.

The Cowboys did, indeed, get very lucky.

I’m sure the lions are saying the same thing after blowing that play call. And throwing two picks.

Sounds like the refs got it right, and even if they didn't the Lions committed more penalties. The Lions didn't want us to know Decker was eligible because then he would have been covered. Came back to bite them. Should have went for 1 after that.
They got real greedy, although the signs was there for 1.

Moot point in the end, because the WR covered Decker. WR needed to be in a Flanker position. So it's an illegal formation, also an illegal touch. Decker was never eligible simply based on the formation.
Sure looked to me like the WR was off the LOS.
