Was the last play of the game one of the dumbest you've ever seen?

Don’t forget to pull down one of the defenders pants or pull his jersey over his head. Or both.
:lmao:

Could also have Dak wear a fake carnation flower on his jersey so that if a pass rusher is about to sack him he can squirt him in the eye.

I would have tried the Chiefs touchdown play ..

Something happened to me after that play that hasn’t been the same since.

I had a house full of people, I threw a fit anyway, and locked myself in a bedroom for the entire second half. Refused to watch. I’ve never done that.

Total child. Of course they played one of their best halves of football during the entire Garrett regime thereafter just to spite me. I know it.

I didn't even pay attention once the said Zeke was at Center, I started doing something else (probably typing up a post), I saw on Twitter what happened to Zeke on the play. Imagine that being hos last play as a Cowboy, dang.

I'm glad someone brought this play up. I haven't rewatched the game but didn't the ref's basically hold the ball for like 45 seconds or so AFTER we got in formation??

I mean, whether the play was good or bad part of the reason you do something like this is to put the other team in quick reaction mode and hope that the confusion you have created helps the play be successful.

To allow them free time to assess the situation took away a big part of the advantage you might have gained.

Anyone know what the delay was all about?
SF saw the odd formation and called timeout, to decide how to play it.
So the cowboys should then have went to something else , as this play would only work if they got it off quickly.
But the cowboys were not prepared for SF calling a TO so they just ran it anyway.

The play was awful anyway, who was turpin supposed to lateral to??

Should someone be right with turpin to block the guy who nailed him?
Why did the cowboys at top of screen just do nothing??
The play made no sense at all.

here is a video about this play and all the time wasted when they punted on previous poss.

you know Dak changes a high percentage of plays called by Moore. Dak is not smart enough to change plays. he needs to just run the plays that are called. Dak needs plays that only have one option. if its not open then he needs to run.

And this is why we were able to win inspite of Moore. Dak is a very smart man. A dumb person couldn't be the best quarterback in his draft class coming out of the 4th round. If that's the case, why haven't more 4th round draft picked quarterbacks been able to have been the best quarterbacks in their draft classes??? Exactly.

With that said, Dak is a good quarterback, but I don't have the faith in him that he can get us over the hump and we need a change and he needs a change of scenery.

MM isn't too dumb. He's won a superbowl.
Depends on how you look at 2 HOF caliber QBs 1 SB appearance, he took a job with a good to average QB on a given week how smart can he be.

Well since you're bringing up Rodgers.... A-Rod won one Superbowl and that was with MM. Rodgers hasn't won another without him. So again, MM has to be smart in order to have coached a team to winning a Superbowl.

That wasn't all Rodgers. If that were the case, Rodgers would have more without MM.

Next last play in the playoffs will be CeeDee snapping the ball to Dak, Dak flinging the ball for 5 yards to CeeDee and then we discover CeeDee is ineligible ... 4...3...2...1...

I can only assume the pass was supposed to go to the outside where you had your oline guys blocking in hopes of springing a skill player free.

But the pass went to the inside where the WR was instantly drilled.............that makes absolutely no sense based on the play design.

Running a standard play and then lateraling the ball 15 times had a much higher chance of success, at least teams in the past have actually scored that way.

There is a difference between dumb and didn’t work. The cowboys play didn’t work, but the logic of trying to get as many skill players on the field as possible with a couple big guys to block outside makes a ton of sense.

I actually loved the idea of them taking an extremely low percentage situation and trying something new. I bet you see teams build off of that play for end of game scenarios.

Exactly.. We never saw the play we just saw the outcome.

No Pete Carroll electing to pass instead of running it from the 4 ( with 4 chances left ) and thus giving away a super bowl was the single dumbest call I have ever seen. Literally threw a way a lock super bowl win on one play call. MarShawn Lynch had just smashed them for a 7 yard gain and looked unstoppable .
Yeah that is the one that tops my list. From what I have heard, Wilson never forgave Carrol for that. Regretted he did not audible out of it. Lynch never forgave Carrol either.
BUT the last play against the 49rs last year and this play are in my top 5 all time.

I don’t care where you line up the receivers when you’re on your own 20. lol just heave it down the field and hope for the interference. And then you could at least walk off without being laughed at. Instead the formation and result was supremely embarrassing!
