Was the last play of the game one of the dumbest you've ever seen?

Well when the offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is one of the dumbest low IQ coaches the NFL has ever seen.... its not surprising to see one of the dumbest plays ever.
MM approved that play so he must be even dumber. Feel good at least Dak didn’t run a QB draw.

actually the play before was the dumbest, when schultz had to drag both feet in, around 40 yard line to at least have a snow flakes chance in hell for a miracle play. but from the 20 yard line, you had no chance. so I think at that point, just throw it somewhere and end the game.

I wish Greenlaw would have just run that would be interception in for a touchdown. Put me out of my misery. The way we finished the last two playoff games against the 49ers is beyond bad

That play was rejected by Pee Wee League teams that didn't have "Junior" the big 6 year old, on their team

Was it bad? Sure, but I do not know many 80 yard TD plays in 5 seconds so I am not going to be too harsh on it.
That's because you don't know football like some of the NFL coaches that frequently comment on this board.

I'm joking.

I made a similar comment on another thread. I can't fault the play call. If someone knows a better play with a high percentage chance in that situation I'd sure like to hear it, otherwise I'm thinking you're just looking for something to beoch about.

You needed a 75 yard play, it didn’t really matter what you ran. People are making more out of it than what it was

Last years final play only to be topped by this years final play. Both were a complete joke.

You don't have to be a coach to come up with a play that can garner more than 6 yards in that situation. But his team wants to draw up a play like Henry Winkler in the water boy? lol

Well, what's your 80 yard guaranteed touchdown play? I do agree however, you need to throw it for more than 6 yards, but that's on the guy who's running the play not necessarily the play itself.

Elliott got barreled over and the WR got killed the second he touched the ball? Prescott was terrible, but the design and execution of the play was a joke. There is no guarantee, they could've just lined up like a normal offense and hoped for an interference call. Not try to reinvent the wheel. It's not rocket science and nothing about that play was good. Even if there was more time on the clock. It was a ridiculous head scratcher and they were laughed off the field... again! lol

There is a difference between dumb and didn’t work. The cowboys play didn’t work, but the logic of trying to get as many skill players on the field as possible with a couple big guys to block outside makes a ton of sense.

I actually loved the idea of them taking an extremely low percentage situation and trying something new. I bet you see teams build off of that play for end of game scenarios.
I agree. It reminded my of what Andy Reid in 2017 at the end of the 1st half from just their side of mid-field.

Dallas was expecting a Hail Mary so they rushed 3 and had everyone else inside the 10. But KC just dumped it off to Tyreek behind the 3 linemen. He scored in part because the deep defenders were dumbfounded in what to do, but more-so KC played it like a punt return. Hill held ip to let blockers get in front.

The play Sunday wasn’t a dumb call. It was poorly executed - the pass was to the middle of the field where there was no blocking. But also SF called timeout after the initial lineup and planned how to defend it. The element of surprise was gone.

This is correct.

In that situation there is no good play. You do something different and maybe catch a team off guard.

It didn't work but most of the time, desperation plays don't.

Honestly, fans focusing on that are only doing so because their knucklehead friends at the bar/gym/etc. are teasing them about it.

What was so dumb about a play being used during the point of the game when the Cowboys had a 99% chance of losing.:huh:The Cowboys lost 19-12. The plays was not the problem it was bad decisions by Dak on his two picks.
This loss was totally on the defense. They should have anticipated at least 2 interceptions by Dak and had scored 2 touchdowns themselves realizing the offense would not. D let us down.

Yea, I don't really disagree. I'm just thinking at that place on the field and with basically no time left there really wasn't a play that's going to get you what you need. We can agree to disagree weather that play or another should have been called, either way it's highly unlikely we score in my opinion.
