nope, mine was a Broncos fan. my early years of football watching was in the 70's and America's team was one of the best. being in PA my mom's side were all Steelers fans but I was for Dallas. That 78 SB still hurts

Yes he is. Like me, he was born in Tampa, but that was way before the Bucs were around.

When he came back from Vietnam, he was stationed at Ft. Hood, so he began following the Cowboys back then. His favorite player is Roger. So he pretty much raised me as one. Yeah I fit the meme of most Cowboys fans aren't from Dallas or even Texas, but who cares.

Yep, I was doomed at birth to be a Cowboys fan. Fortunately my kids were smart enough to see how miserable the Cowboys make me and chose not to be fans.

My dad was a fan of the game but not any particular team. He had a brother in Fort Worth, who was a big Cowboys fan, so I assume that it was his influence that caused me to become a Cowboys fan. I can't say for sure since I was so young that I don't remember but I'm from Toronto and it's not like I have any other connection to Dallas.

My dad, born in '45, grew up in Utah, and moved to Texas in 1984, just months before my birth. Once my brother and I became engaged in sports - mostly sandlot, my dad started having conversations with us about the Cowboys. He spoke mostly about Staubach, saying he was the best QB he'd ever seen. So apparently he was a football fan and liked the Cowboys. Nowadays he only seems interested in politics and is slightly Christian and as I don't relate to either of those topics we hardly ever talk.

Big time.... he introduced me to the Cowboys....best memories were watching the Landry teams in the 70s with him. Had 5 sisters and they all are Cowboys fans because of him.

No, my dad was a mild football fan, but did pull for the Commanders.

I was\am much more passionate about the NFL and the Cowboys, and both my kids are fans of the Cowboys.

My father was born in Dallas and is a lifelong Cowboys fan. When we were living in a suburb of Washington DC, he was still a Cowboys fan. When we watched the parade and everybody celebrate after the Skins last Super Bowl he was still proudly a Cowboys fan. Then it was beautiful the next two years there before we moved away.

Great stories from all Cowboy fans. That is why they are America's Team. The common thread is we ain't bandwagon fans, even with Jerry here. Just cuz we complain, it means we care. Giddyup...... :flagwave:
