He got that home style curse, sits home collected, got lazy...No results!

I agree but I think his value might be a second. I can’t trade him for a first with his injury history but I’d for sure kick the tires on him.
No one is giving a second for him. He’s in the last year of his contract and has missed half the games in his career. If they get a 4th offered they better take it

Wouldn't it make more sense to pick up the option if they were planning to trade him? The receiving team would have him for two years instead of a one-year rental which could increase his trade value.
I don’t think the 5th year option goes with a trade. I could be wrong but I think that option is only to the team that drafted him

I disagree. He’s only two years removed free being a pro bowler. If they only want a 4th for him then they will just keep him.

Keep him for what? He’s a FA after this season
If they planned on keeping him they had the option and passed. They’d be nuts not to trade now and take what you can get. Next year you get nothing unless he has a career year then you might get a comp the next year

Wonder if this move was from the old regime or from the new regime.
Maybe the new one wants to build it their way.

I’m sure that’s a huge factor
The new ones are business people and he’s been a bad investment so far. Cut their loses and move on
I think they could trade him but with his contract and injury history I don’t see him bringing much

If hes available in free agency i take him day one

the upside is too good...

however....hes REALLY good at run support..and hes really good at stopping screen plays

however a #2 pick theyre expecting 15-20 sacks a year and constant pressure and he hasnt done that against good-great competition....

but...the upside is good if you can get him on a team friendly deal

Same here, and, given his injury history, I could see us us getting a nice deal for him.

Common sense to get rid of him. Been injured half the time, and the other half has not made much of a W-L difference. They were last in their division when they got him and after four years are still last. Wise decision not to handcuff your rebuilding team with this guy. Might be better on a line where he is a rotational player but i don't see any team emptying their wallet to sign him.

This is when you don't have to like your guys.

Does he become a name to keep an eye on as trade bait during the draft? If Washington is ready to move on why delay the inevitable? I could see a deal based around Chase Young for Jonah Williams make sense. What about a Chase Young for Trey Lance type of swap?
Word is they are looking to move Montez Sweat who needs a contract. This what happens when you pay your DTs that much
