I expect a draft day trade for Chase by a team
I'm pretty sure Amari Cooper who was traded to the Cowboys in the middle of his 4th season played on his 5th year option for the Cowboys.I don’t think the 5th year option goes with a trade. I could be wrong but I think that option is only to the team that drafted him
I think he just isn’t that good…His injury must be career threatening
The Cowboys had Amari Cooper on his 5th year option in 2019 after trading for him.I don’t think the 5th year option goes with a trade. I could be wrong but I think that option is only to the team that drafted him
I remember another guy. South Carolina. Greatest DL prospect ever. Supposed to rewrite the history books. Guy was a superstar before he did a thing. I think Young is from the same ilk. You have to work to be great in the NFL.I think he just isn’t that good…
Nope, but he has never lived up to his draft status. Even if healthy, would you want to pay him 18 million, all guaranteed on a fifth year option. He has done less than Jadaveon ClowneyHis injury must be career threatening
A fourth is equivalent to nothing. I’d rather have him this year than take a 4th.Keep him for what? He’s a FA after this season
If they planned on keeping him they had the option and passed. They’d be nuts not to trade now and take what you can get. Next year you get nothing unless he has a career year then you might get a comp the next year
A 4th beats him walking next year and you get nothing. Obviously he’s out the door after this season and they know he’s not gonna make a difference in whether they have a good or bad seasonA fourth is equivalent to nothing. I’d rather have him this year than take a 4th.
That may be rightThe Cowboys had Amari Cooper on his 5th year option in 2019 after trading for him.

"Cooper is in the final year of his original rookie contract in 2018. Next year he'll be under the fifth-year option, which will cost the Cowboys $13 million."

As your burner account I approve this messageHold up....
I thought if you had early success you get a job for life? Dude should've been a Cowboy.
Word I heard is that he never really tried to improve his array of moves. In college, he could put athletic people, couldn’t do it in the pros but didn’t bother much with trying to improve techniques.I remember another guy. South Carolina. Greatest DL prospect ever. Supposed to rewrite the history books. Guy was a superstar before he did a thing. I think Young is from the same ilk. You have to work to be great in the NFL.
Because they are contending this year. A fourth does nothing for contending this year.A 4th beats him walking next year and you get nothing. Obviously he’s out the door after this season and they know he’s not gonna make a difference in whether they have a good or bad season
Why not get something you can use to improve the team now and save some money too
If he was considered a part of the future they would have used the option
