Washington is great example how quickly Cowboys could turn it around

essentially, Snyder would have made the NFCCG with Daniels. and thus no impact from bad leadership or organizational dysfunction.

but you contradict yourself, by saying, yeah it matters in the next sentence. so does it or does it not?

I am not arguing, you are spinning your words, wanting to give almost all of the credit to daniels but spin out of it with a contradictory statement.
they had 20 new players, brought in by new coaches. new coaches, given authority to do what's needed. alignment between FO and coaches, (was MM aligned with Jerry? seriously was he?).

thus if you think that's all it takes, would daniels have Cowboys in NFCCG this year?
I never contradicted myself, you’re just looking for an argument. I said Snyder would have won with Daniels as his QB and from that point on you began twisting my comments and giving your own take. You must really be bored. lol

Sure if you hit on a QB. Unfortunately the dakistans believe there’s one here who can win (even though he never has).

Daniel Snyder wasn’t like Jerry Jones. he allowed his coaches to coach and hired and fired a number of GMs. I mentioned he brought back Joe Gibbs. He hired Steve Spurrier, who everyone thought would turn the team around. He hired Mike Shanahan who won Super Bowls in Denver as his HC. A teams culture starts with the head coach. They brought in some real good talent but it was a struggle mainly because of their QB situation. They went through as many QBs as any team in the league over the past two decades trying to hit on one. When they had good QB play they won games. Go ahead and put your own spin on what I just said to keep this going. lol

Cowboys have Jerry Jones, Washington has ownership that lets coaches and personnel do their job. They are not the same.

I think we are done with this. you accuse me of arguing and wanting to argue, but you have argued back against anything I said....

lets not talk about bored!!!! really....lets not.

like I said, you hear these from national media. I lived in DC and the stories were quite different. he was meddling, in a different way than Jerry. the culture was very toxic, and part of the reason he got pushed to selling his team.

IMHO, the team structure starts with the GM...who then should be able to hire the head coach and the GM oversees all football aspects, from draft, to coaches, etc.

It's pretty crazy to go from 4 wins to the nfccg. Could possibly make nfl history but I don't think they will. Dallas is at least 6 years away from that and that's if they hit on a qb in 3-4 years.

We should’ve been done with this a few posts ago, but you wouldn’t let it go. You have to learn to agree to disagree and not attempt to create one argument after another.

“Washington is great example how quickly Cowboys could turn it around - but won’t……”

FIFY

Ton of examples...Washington, Denver, Chargers, Houston, Rams. The right coach and the right draft and free agency moves can lead to a huge turnaround.

We're DOA as long as Jerry's in charge
He. couldn't find an elite qb to save his life.
Sadly, I have to agree.

The Raiders were never going to turn it around with Al Davis, Washington with Snyder, and even Tepper with Carolina and we will never turn it around with Jerry.

There's a tried and true business axiom that goes like this.

Dysfunction at the top of any organization forces short-term risks that ultimately result in long-term damage.

In other words...All Things Jerry + Dak's Contact = The Present State of the Franchise

It never fails.

I would love to have a #2 overall pick dumped on the Cowboys lap. That would be awesome.

This has happened to Washington three times in the last 13 drafts.

It seemed like Rivera was building the team. He started a rookie QB in 2023 but Howell struggled. I think Quinn came in and realized there was talent on the team, he just needed to add a few pars and instill the right attitude.

When Washington's new QB turned out to be a phenom, his team was off and running. Washington is fortunate that they don't have to run into a Rodgers-led Packer team or a 49ers team powered by a healthy Christian McCaffery.

I think the NFC championship game could go either way.

yet here we are..... with you posting and arguing yet again

done!

Another discussion where your position appears to be (covertly) defending Dak, in this case diminishing Daniels efforts in favor of the coaching.
In reality you're both right, you focusing on ownership/coaching and opposing view of the Daniels effect.
The uncomfortable truth is that even if we got rid of GM Jerry our expectation of a 'Washington quick turnaround' wouldnt be with Dak at the helm....even Cavanaugh (a self proclaimed Dak Fan) mentioned the propensity/success of mobile QB's

All WFT did was get a new owner and entire new organization then hit on the #2 overall pick with a franchise QB.
I don't think this one is a good example TBH.
Dallas starts with a lot more talent in house but less free agent money and a ton less draft capital.
They also still have the albatross owner/GM.

You’re the one who initiated this. lol I told you we’re not going to agree and when you saw I was trying to move on, you began twisting my comments to pull me back in. I’m still not convinced you’re done. lol
