Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys rolled to their 10th straight victory on Thursday, beating the Washington Commanders 31-26. Prescott didn’t have his best performance of the year through the air, but he was a force on the ground.

The rookie quarterback rushed for a career-high 39 yards and a touchdown on eight carries, giving him five rushing touchdowns this season. His terrific came carrying the ball was highlighted by a brutal stiff-arm on safety Donte Whitner.

I've never seen anything like to be honest. As great as Romo was........I don't think he ever commanded the media like that. Which I never understood but maybe it had to do with his "celebrity" early on.

It's natural when you're a nice guy who gives praise to your teammates and then the team doesn't lose. It's when the losses add up and people start looking for reasons that you see the media get the long knives out. It's been a while (Big Ben) since we've seen a rookie with a 10 game win streak.

But Dak does do a great job, regardless. He's obviously a great dude.

Commanded as in making jokes and having a good time with media? Romo always had that about him too. When the team is winning, everyone is happy, the media too.

No I mean the media giving him softball questions, joking around with him.....every report that comes out about the guy is favorable. Stories about how he's turning down endorsements, turning down going to Kanye West concerts.....

Its just different. Romo got this later on in his career. I personally haven't seen anything like this from a rookie QB. Usually rookie QB's don't get how to handle the media. Sure, it helps his team is winning but there's rarely a moment where you cringe at Dak talking to the press.

That's a great point. Obviously the media is a lot softer on a guy who hasn't lost yet. Makes sense.

Between Romo's playoff fumble, Cabo, "choking" narrative, backwards hat:rolleyes:, celebrity girlfriends, etc. Its just night and day with him and Dak. I love Romo but he left some things to be desired as far as image and reputation when representing our team, to be honest.

Dont get me wrong, he was never a drama queen ala Jay Cutler/Ryan Fitzpatrick, and he was never in legal troubles ala Vick and others, but there was just another plateau that wasnt reached. Part of me thinks Daks 4 year exposure to national media in the SEC helped a lot in this transition.

Dak's going to handle it great, though, regardless. I was very impressed by how he handled the Dez/Norman stuff. What do you think of Dez/Norman? "Two competitors." Is that all you have to say? "Yep." Pretty smart dude.

What a ridiculous post.

 I am. It's just interesting to see how quickly every Dak thread turns into a Tony comparison. I wouldn't have thought it even possible to turn this subject into one. lol

I agree, it could go south quick.

Both men are charismatic but each in their own unique way. Tony had that impish moxie look and Dak just has poise. Both command attention.
