Watch out for Werder

I disagree with Marino in place of Aikman. He may or may not have won 3 Super Bowls with Marino. Marino had a terrible defense and his supporting cast was built around the passing game. Shula has stated many times that he built a team around a deep passing game given that was Marino's strengths.

Aikman was very selfless, but we had a fantastic gameplan. Run with Emmitt, if the defense creeps up enough throw over the top to Irvin, if he's covered, go to Novacek. Then run the crap out of the ball to Emmitt in the red zone since he's arguably the greatest red zone runner that ever lived. The Fins' gameplan revolved around Marino and solely around Marino and hopefully that they could outscore everybody.

Romo did talk about his game in the post game presser. He doesn't owe anyting more to the media.

Nobody is blaming ESPN for the woes. We're blaming ESPN for garbage journalism and being a bunch of ho's and/or puppets. The only thing the players owe is to be the best player they can possibly be.

Wake up.

He owes it to the fans. They are the ones that are using the media to get their info. What do you think Ed Werder asks the questions and then keeps the info to himself?

How many times have we heard about Dalrymple telling Romo he has to keep his media obligations.

This NFL thing is bigger than Ed Werder or Tony Romo.

It's bigger than Romo acting like he's not up to hearing some questions about his poor play last Sunday Night.

And the fact that he went and spoke to the Carolina media is a direct slap to the face of the Dallas media. It will be a story. It will become an issue just like Terrell Owens BS act last year when he kept 'next questioning' Werder.

This isn't the way the 'leader' of the team handles some poor play. Aikman would come out to the media after getting bashed again and again by them and by defenses in that weeks game. He never acted like he couldn't handle the media.

This isn't a good thing at all. And I am positive that Dalrymple has or will be talking to Romo (after he has gotten the directions from Jerry about how to handle this) about this situation.

It's only one loss and we are already going back to the BS we all watched last season where the big bad media is scaring the Cowboys players.

It's annoying.

I think that you are jumping to wrong conclusions or at least a premature conclusion. They don't play until Monday...so maybe he's waiting an extra day to talk to the media.

Werder = drama creator.

Seriously, back off dude. I mean Romo didn't want to talk, sheesh. If this happens continously then PR needs to look into it, but let him focus on the game instead of Werder's stache.

So you don't think the face of the franchise, one who is known to be soft, should come out and talk to the local media the next week after stinking it up in the home opener against a division rival?

Keep blaming ESPN for all the woes.

:laugh1:

I know you like to bait me sometimes, but you know very well that I didn't blame ESPN for any woes.

Or at least you do if you bothered to read my post.

And no, I don't care if Tony talks to us at all.

It's also strictly your opinion that he's "known to be soft". Who says that?

He usually talks on Wednesday.

Today was the extra day.

And why did he speak to the Carolina media and not the Dallas media?

He was at his locker and declined to speak.

I said the team was soft.

And he's the leader. And he's acting soft.

And you started the thread.

And you don't watch ESPN anymore.

And you hate the big bad media.

It's silly.

Because the local media aren't reporting on the Carolina game. They want blood from Sunday still. As a fan Tony only owes me his best on game day. I don't care for explanation. I'm intelligent enough to see what happened. It is nice to hear his thoughts but when all people want to do is kick someone while their down i have no problem with no comments, because that's the approach many people take. Hence the term "just ignore them".

Im telling you. Werder hates to get the next question, or ignored. He will start in on romo next, especially if he is not the rated at least third best.

Yeah they weren't going to ask about Carolina.

The media is half of whats wrong with this team.

Our highs get to high and our lows get to low because of it.

If our players are that weak minded we have no hope of a championship.

The circus will never end in Dallas no matter who you cut. One out the door, the next one will be created. Werder's job is to find and report bad news.

Kinda like Hero/Villain. Well the villain is gone so Werder goes after the next big name. This will only end if this organization becomes boring and no one gives a crap about us.

What we care about doesn't matter... Fact is players in locker room's do care about that stuff. I don't know how many do and how much they do, but I know they do. When they're standing in front of their locker room taking questions they do not want to answer, trust me they notice when their teammates are ducking out on doing it. Particularly ones the media most wants to speak to and their ducking out only leaves teammates to answer questions about that player.

All the media guys are like that. Even Mickey Spags gives Barber all sorts of grief, mainly because the guy doesn't lime talking to the media. Even after this game, while he as defnding everyone (but the safeties) he couldn't find the time to say one nice thing about the guys game.

But let Barber have a bad game and bounce something outside for no gain and he'll be the first to mention it and say that's not who he is and he needs to remember who he is.
