hey joe

what do accountable really mean ? you use it in about every post.
what do you want Wade to do to a guy who fumbles a ball or misses a tackle?

as tired as you are of Wade is about how tired i am of reading "accountable"

give other people a chance to play like the other runningbacks who have speed and are better runners. A big problem I see with this team is players can make the same mistakes and nothing changes. these players know they can screw up and everything will remain the same. sometimes you gotta shake things up.

ok im watching 2005 steelers, they had just lost 3 games, played at critical time about 1:57 to 2:01 pm

cowher asked every player to grade themselves positive or negative on bengals game, held them accountable. For each player to look at themselves, then let cowher see their grade and talk about it etc.

and cowher made players accoutable for their play and to themselves

should the cowboys players, coaches and wade have this type of thought, etc?

maybe DC or theebs can find the podcast and post it for us to see and think about, etc.

Why do you believe the Cowboy coaches do not hold people accountable? Do you have some audio or video to back up your claim?

As far as DC goes he couldn't find his *** from a hole in the ground. Remember we are all just stupid homers to him.

Are you thinking maybe Choice should get a start (and20ish carries) sometime soon? Fine with me....I'm not sure how he would do, but it'd be interesting to find out.

Yes Wade should be more like Cowher. Wade should start to spit at his players face more. That'll piss the players off and play with anger.

This isn't 2005.

This isn't the Steelers.

Wade isn't Bill.

There is no way to relate results of what worked for Bill to Wade.

He could do those things, sure, and maybe it would work.

Of course maybe it wouldn't either.

What I find hilarious about these sort of things is that people think that every time people do it that it works.

I don't believe that. Do you believe what Cowher did is the first time a coach has done things like that?

Of course not. The only reason you know about that time is cause they turned it around and that 'worked' so of course everyone talks about it and it's shown.

When coaches do that and it doesn't work then no one ever hears about it.

to me, wade doenst hold players accountable till he is forced too
thats the big problem to me;

look at his history, each playoff game he has gotten too, he has lost

why?

you would think eventually he would learn, but each time we have to wait for him to fix something that he should have fixed along time ago

example, did he make bruce read accountable to his horrible special teams play last year? No! In fact wade made 4 assistant coaches help bruce read on special teams, taking them away from their work in other areas.

what makes you think when he wouldnt hold bruce read accountable, that he holds players accountable

again think about the bruce read issue, we have all seen how a good special teams coach has helped this team, yet we suffered thoughout last year with bruce read with 4 assistant coaches having to take some time away from their coaching to do bruce read's job.

if wade did that to bruce read, again, what makes you think he makes players accountable?

think about the folk issue all this year, thats right all this year, over 3 months with a kicker that was having a problem, with the holder, etc
think about the crayton issue on punt returns and fumbling as a wr too, he finally got demoted after coach joe d went to wade and said something had to be done, even jerry jones said something has to be done

remember the brian stewart issue on defense, who basically forced wade to fire stewart, jerry jones

those are just some of the examples;

the thing with wade to me is this, he wants to be loved by all the players and be a good ole coach, but when it comes to making hard decisions in cutting, releasing players and coaches he cant till he is forced too

:laugh2: I don't know about 20 carries but I would definetly give both Choice and Felix more touches.

what is it you want him to do ?? fire em all ? make em run laps after practice ? stand in the corner ??

i rue the day you learned of the word "accountable", be glad when you pick up your next code word for "i dont like wade cuz he aint jimmy johnson"

It is like groundhog day with Joe.

adbuther, I am like a bulldog, when i latch onto something i dont let go. Or when someone like brooking gets me worked up about putting jimmy johnson down compared to wade, then, boom, the fight is on.

You can talk about me, my friends, my mother, but when to me you insult the dallas cowboys and players or coaches that i have grown to love and respect, its on.

I float like a butterfly too and I sting like a Bee, but in this case, a big bumble bee, they really hurt when they sting you.

Stand up in front of the team, answer why, for example why was there blown coverage on the jacobs td run, even wade said we were in the wrong defense on one play or it shouldnt have happened. Just telling the player dont do it again, doesnt send the message.

if that player has to be sat down for missing plays do it. Just like one time Michael Irvin missed a plane ride, so when irvin got to the game, jimmy had him miss the start of the game.

If offensive linemen dont do their blocks etc and mess up, have them all run in a group, making each player accountable to each other in that offensive line. Eventually the other offensive linemen will get onto the other linemen for not doing their job for having to run.

Example, for 3 solid months we have put up with missed field goals from folk with mcbrair on holding. Twice McBrair said it was on him. Evidently McBrair wasnt being held accountable was he? Just a slap on the wrist or dont do it again, or wade's good ole response, its ok guys, dont worry.

That stinks!

DC hasnt bad mouthed the team, but i do agree that DC has gotten onto wade, heavy. To me its not the media bashing the team, the media was trying to call wade out, with him saying something positive instead of same ole thing, its ok dont worry.

We saw that its ok dont worry last year didnt we. How well did that work?

I did not say i did not like wade, i like wade as the defensive coordinator. I also said if you read it correctly, I said wade can turn this around, but he has to do it now. He cant wait like all games he has this year with folk.

I will admit I dont like wade as the head coach. I think he can and should do a better job than he has.

If wade comes out and says i deserve respect for the job i have done, big deal in wins and losses, but wade only wants to look at the september to november issue, not the december issue or count his losses in december.

Thats the part i disagree with, dont dare come out and say your better coach then jimmy johnson or tom landry.

Wade hasnt proved that yet, till he does, i have the right to feel the way i do.

Sure, I even want wade to win get into the playoffs so the players can build confidence and get to the super bowl possibly and win, Then wade can ride off into the sunset.

But quit waiting around to fix things, and saying everything is ok and dont worry players. Fix the darn thing.

Players should be accountable....

No one knows the right answers......I wonder what the SF coahces are doing now after their loss to the Seahawks....? Or the Ravens coaches? Did the constant player meetings help the Giants get out of their losing streak? Or did the players just finally make some plays?

Why did Jimmy Johnson keep his FG kicker all season long in 92 when he was struggling?
Did Bellicheat forget how to coach? Havent they lost 3 of the past 4?
Did Andy Reid make the players more accountable after they lost to the Raiders? Is Norv the same coach as he was in Wash? Or is he making his players more accountable in SD?

What has more success? Supposed passive coaches ? Or the rah rah types we hear in press conferences?

Lets see how this season plays out.......hopefully we can win the SB.

how do you know he isnt doing something like what you mentioned ?
do you honestly believe he gets up in front of the team and says "sorry guys I don't know why you messed up on that play but its OK with me" ?

just because you dont hear about it doesnt mean it doesnt happen.
those media boys are only there for a short time in practice and NEVER in meetings.
quit following the lead of the negative nancies Joe, enjoy the team. i know you love them so quit being mad at them all the time. lifes too short.

McBriar just got fired from the holding job.

Yeah, that's the same as saying it's okay to screw up.
