I'm really sorry for Roy's injury. But I'd be willing to see what Watkins can do while Roy heals up. If Watkins plays as good or better than I think he should take Roy's place as starter. Thats my opinion and I'm sticking with it.

Remember Roy was burned in that long TD pass to Jackson. It might be a blown coverage or that they knew Roy was on Jackson. I really want to see Roy take over games like he used to. But it seems that teams are focusing on him when it comes to the deep pass and his the weak link right now on our defense because of it.

At least Watkins plays the deep pass better than Roy in my opinion. His faster and has better leaping ability. Maybe that was why the Eagles didn't go deep as soon as Roy went out of the game? Who knows. Just stating an opinion but it seems that our pass defense is better without Roy especially those deep passes.

Maybe the reason why Roy is still starting is b/c he has a BIG CONTRACT. I mean, really. If you have to pay someone all that money, there's no use making him idle.

It's alot like Reggie Brown in Philly-they can't cut him b/c of that big contract he signed 2 years ago(or they'll take a cap hit). Of course, he sucks, but if they paid him all that money, they might as well give him a full time job.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's another way I see it.

I hope Roy will be able to recover. But lets be honest we will only miss him in run support. Watkins/Hamlin will be the best thing to happen to this team. Hamlin can play run support at SS and Watkins can be FS.

Actually RW could have been cut this season and the cap hit wouldn't have been that big AdamJJT dispelled that rumor.

Ok...

It's pretty clear to me, that Roy is not the same player he used to be for whatever reason fans want to give. Some have suggested, that Roy's play started going downhill when Woodson retired. Others say, it's that big fat contract he received that made him change...who knows. I only know what the results have been afterwards and so does everybody else. I hate making excuses for any player and I'm not going to start now.

Like I said before, I hope Watkins can take advantage of this oppurtunity.
