I agree MW...after reading all the ledge jumpers and their belly aching I guess we should just mail it in and not play until after next off season...this team as is has no chance...LAST PLACE HERE WE COME!!!!

David

Well it's either that or they should just break up the franchise.

I just know that no team should have to play with the overall lack of talent that this team apparently lacks.

We put to many Eggs in the Terry Glenn basket this offseason, and it has backfired.i for one wanted draft a reciever in the first two rounds of the draft. and i wanted to bring in a vet reciever. now we are here counting on people like Crayton,Austin and Hurd again. what teams are going to do is do what they did to us the last 4 games of last season and the playoffs.they are going to take away Terrell Owens, and tell players like Crayton,Austin and hurd to beat them if they can.we are in trouble at WR folks. i for one thought Glenn was a washed up player. so im not mad about the Cowboys cutting him. butother than owens.how good are these guys? and can you win a championship with these set of recievers?[/quote]

Good lord, the pre-season hasn't even started yet and we got people like this already panicking. We call those people ledgies. This is worse than the cubs board as far as people panicking. Can you at least wait for the season to play out a little bit first.

In answer to the question in bold. Have you been paying attention. A bunch of won without true number 1 receiver. The Patriots, the Steelers, the Ravens, the Bucs, do I need to keep going.

The Bucs had 2 slow-footed WRs, a 40 year old QB, *and* a MERELY average OL.

Just saying...

WR is a potential problem area. With a healthy TO and Witten, along with a good running game we can likely mask the problem. But if TO or Witten go down, or the running game struggles, we'll have issues.

Maybe Mark Cuban will buy the team and save them from Bumbling Jerry

I think about 25 teams or so would like to mask their problems at those positions with TO and Witten

Isn't that Maryland WR supposed to be THE next NFL stud?

I have an idea...maybe we could just forfeit the season, except for playing against our NFCE rivals(so we can give them headaches, at least), so we can ultimately get THAT receiver...and VOILA...our WR problems will be solved by next year!:laugh2:

Just like last year when i warned about the secondary. a lot f you people made a joke out f that too.and how come all of a sudden you people are in love with Crayton? all i have seen on this board all summer is how he sucks and how he lost that Giants game. and how he is not a number 2 WR.and what if owens or Crayton get hurt? you are left with the Austin's and Hurd's of the world.NOT GOOD!

Warned us about the secondary?

Dude-we didn't upgrade that area last year b/c there were NO options via FA/draft to do so(unless giving up the house for Asante Samuel was a good idea).

If we didn't draft Felix Jones, our depth at RB would be THIN.

If we didn't draft Martellus Bennett, then we would be getting a TE off the street.

If we didn't draft Erik Walden, our ST would be suffering.

Dude-WHAT receiver was out there anyways? DeSean Jackson? Malcolm Kelly? Limas "I don't play like 6'5" Sweed? Bernard "I ain't worth $42m" Berrian? Or did you want to trade the house for Chad Johnson?

Ya, what he said:bow: .........

Dude everybody knew the secondary wasn't strong last year so I don't know the people you are talking about that you warned.

We have proven that we can win and score a lot without Glenn. Like I said and will continue to say you don't need stars at WR to win. You need guys to catch the football, make plays and move the chains.

I think David Patten would have been a good signing for you guys (although I'm not sure if he re-signed before free agency began). For some reason Saunders/Gibbs never utilized him, but then he went to NO and played very well. He wouldn't have cost much either.

I think you guys will be fine with the WRs you have - you just have to hope that TO doesn't go down.

Oh sure!

Ruin it for us!

And here we thought this guy was some kinda Kreskin.

I was hoping he'd spill the beans on what the price of a barrel of oil will be on September 23, 2008.
