We are the most disliked fan base

one thing I’ve noticed is the NY fan base that likes the Mets , Islanders and Jets….they are a die hard group and all rally around the fact that they are the red headed stepchildren of the New York media when compared to the Yanks, Rangers and Giants…..they’ve been waiting a long time for retribution

Other fan bases are the same way. For instance, any time the Jets make the playoffs, their fans come out of the woodwork, acting and talking like they're the greatest team ever.

Which makes it all the more ridiculous! Back not too many years ago, when the Jets were doing pretty well (I think it was Revis's 2nd or 3rd year), I was dropping off lumber to one of our customers, and the forklift operator said, which so much confidence and disdain, "We're gonna crush your Cowboys this week!" - as if we'd been rivals for 30 years. They did win, but not by much, IIRC, but that's beside the point. The way he said it made me certain that he'd said that to every fan of every opponent he met...that year.

There was another plane on Long Island I delivered to, and I don't remember why my Cowboys fandom came up, but a few of the guys started laughing that I was a Cowboys fan, so I just held up 5 fingers. One of the guys says, "That's true, they do have 5 rings."...and they all got real quiet all of a sudden.

They're going to hate you if you've got the fattest trophy case. That's just a fact. Heavy is the head that wears the crown.

At the same time, I think I resent our fanbase more than any other in the league too.

That would be great news except that it isn't news.

We have been hated since the late 60's.

Remember, the Cowboys once had a streak of 20 consecutive winning seasons. They traumatized a lot of fans for other teams, regularly broke their hearts.

This is why, when the Cowboys began to decline in the late 80's, there was no mercy. Analysts, former players from other teams, were relentless in their attacks against Tom Landry. Buddy Ryan, HC of the Eagles, ran up the score against them.

George Allen, HC of the Washingtons once told his team that he wanted to meet Tom Landry in the middle of the field for a fist fight.

It's good to know that we are still despised to some degree. NFL fans still have their passion..
