been taking crap from people for my choice of football team for half a century. I often marvel at the rudeness of it
My son said the same thing, and wondered why other teams didn’t get the same reaction. And this is years since Dallas has been on top. The rudeness made it not fun to talk football at school.

It seems impossible to be a flake given the last 27 years without success. I guess more so you are referring to being overly optimistic of pessimistic based on small sample sizes and minimal evidence.
No Im talking about the casuals that lose interest in the team when things arent going well. Or people that spend an inordinate amount of time obsessing over the media attention the team gets. There is alot more flakiness and shallowness in this fanbase than most. The Cowboys are a glamor team, and they have more than earned that right to be. However that is also going to attract alot more less desireable fans

Its probably not as apparent in a place like this where you have real fans. But places like Twitter, it can be outright embarrassing.

I would agree. Flakiness sounds more like fair weather fans. Being overly pessimistic or optimistic and/or overreacting to everything is a trademark of passion. We can be a very annoying fan base due to our passion but I’d rather have passion than apathy.
Thats what I mean by flakiness. Cowboys have been well known for having fair weather fans

IMHO the Cowboys are a glamor team but have lost the right to be and that is what people hate about them the most. Unless you mean they have earned the right to be a glamor team because of the work the team has done off the field and not on the field.

Yeah it sucks to be associated with those idiots. It's always disappointing when I'm out and about and see a fellow "fan" wearing gear, so I comment on the team and discover he has no clue.

Not really believing this poll with Cleveland at #2. That makes no sense whatsoever. The only ones who care about Cleveland are in Ohio and Pennsylvania. The Dog Pound has a great history. This poll had to be done in the northeast. Cowboys would be the most popular which in a nationwide poll would make Sf a lot higher on the list.

There is no chance any fan base is disliked more than the Eagles. The cowboys team is more hated I’m sure, which is what I’m guessing drove this. but there are so many polls out there starting different things: cowboys, patriots, eagles, etc. it’s all in how it’s asked
Yep - if you have ever been there then you know!
