Just reviewed the tape of last years game vs Zona, absolutely horrendous. Lets hear the pundits say that we will be fine with this guy at QB, no we wont. We might not win another game wiht him as QB, take this to the bank

What other option do we have at this point? Nobody you bring in can learn the playbook in a week, Showers has no experience with the receivers or any of the starting OL. The solution would have been to sign a better backup in the offseason, but that ship has sailed so now Weeden is the best option we have.

Simplify the Playbook, do whateever we have too so this man does not start at QB.

Showers is not an NFL quarterback at this stage. Moore has no experience.

Weeden is the best option. He will start. All he needs to do is take care of the football and take what the defense gives us.

Did you not forget last year when he was incapable of doing anything and we had to rush romo back against the Jaguars bc we didnt trust him to beat the worst team in the NFL.

Easy on the Red Bull dude. He's not Romo, not even close. But he'll be OK. With the team he has around him, I see him being a .500 QB. That's good enough until the re-enforcements return.

This isn't Madden.

It's not even just about the playbook. Quarterbacks and Receivers have to learn each others rhythm and timing.

There is absolutely no way you can just bring someone in and simplify the playbook.

They're going with Weeden, and at this point, he's the best option.

We gotta simplify things for him. That is what it boils down to.

He can make all the throws. This is where our coaching staff has to earn their paychecks.

Our defense has to get off the field on 3rd downs and create turnovers and our running game has to start coming along.

We have to take each game one game at a time and just tread water until we get our stars back after 7 games. The 2-0 cushion is huge. If Weeden can steer the bus to 3 wins then we'll still have everything right there in front of us. He doesn't have to be perfect. He just can't go out there and turn the ball over and try to do too much. Take what the defense gives him and let the game come to him and trust the coaching staff.

We'll be alright.

It is totally different coming in the middle of the game when the team isnt preparing to face you. Then having an entire week to look at his game film vs Arizona last year

Why do you think he will be Ok when he was horrible last year and he had DEZ and murray?

Well for one thing, that Cardinals defense was better than anything Weeden will be facing this year, except for possibly the Seahawks if Chanceller is back. Even the Patriots defense is wobbily. And our defense is playing much better then last year. And we have Hardy and McClain back in 2 weeks.

We will have to win tight, low scoring games. I'm confident we can win a few of those with Romo gone.

No I haven't, but it was one game against one of the best teams and defenses in the league. A lot of backups would've struggled in that situation especially with not being able to run the ball. Something we need to do.
