We do not win the Seattle game if Mo was one of our top 3 corners

That is a clear sign of someone who is not rational with their opinion. He never destroyed our D. It was generally much worse when he was absent last season. Scandrick holds far more often (and is called on it plenty too).

He hold at the point of attack, but once the ball is in the air, he doesn't continue to rape his man down the field

Poor guy blows his knee out and STILL can't catch a break around here. Well, I guess since we're winning we have to find something to complain about.

I'm sorry I guess I'm just old fashioned (old) but can we please stop using the word "rape" so casually? I find it disturbing.

I disagree. Claiborne is getting a bad rep because of what occurred in that St. Louis game but even if he was out there against Seattle it doesn't change the fact that 1) Our defensive line was dominant as was our offensive line.

And its pure speculation on my part but I think after the whole incident he had I think he was gonna step his game up. This defense has been getting better each and every week even when Claiborne was out there.

Gonna have to disagree with you. The major knock on Mo is that he can't tackle and in all honesty he is terrible playing press defense. Something that would have played to the strength of Wilson. The defense started to really become stronger once Mo left the stage. Nothing against him. But when Scandrick came back our coverage has played lights out They are starting to pick on Carr more because Scan's cover skills are really that good.

Fair enough but I don't consider his replacement Sterling Moore to be that great at press or tackling either. I do agree that Scandrick has played lights out as he did last year. I also haven't seen anyone pick on Carr. Especially last game. Our secondary has been solid but our pass rush has been solid as well. They go hand in hand.

Is it necessary to keep piling on the kid? Jeez people he is one of ours. I don't understand the mentality of rooting against your own players....

I have noticed that. I've noticed it about Garrett as well. I mean we all have our opinions on the guy but I just noticed it seems like a agenda for certain guys. Claiborne wasn't as bad as he looked. He surely wasn't the 6th overall selection we hoped or either. BUT he seems to be a good kid and doing his best. I'm still rooting for him. This is like the end of the road for him. It can't get any worse. Hopefully the play of the rest of the secondary rubs off on him. There's still some raw untapped potential there.

There is nothing claiborne can do that will change my mind on him. He can come back and get 10 ints. He ******* sucks.

It was misery watching this dude single handed, destroy our D. As if it wasn't bad enough, we could barely get pressure, but he bails out every team by raping, and touching up on every WR. Then the Bum barely plays the ball.

Man, he sucked so bad, so glad he is gone.

Wow....so full of hatred. Has to be bad for your health lol.

I didn't mean that they picked on him like they did with Mo. Just that they stopped looking towards where Scandrick was and tried their luck towards Carr. Carr too has been playing solid. Thus Wilson really had no where to go with passing the ball.

One thing about Sterling Moore is that he just makes plays. He plays the ball in the air just as good as anyone does in our team. He just has a knack for knocking passes down. His not the best tackler and probably gets pushed around trying to play press. But his a playmaker and seems to always be in position to make a play on the ball. I think his underrated.

I agree with you this is a solid defense. Its going to get even better when Carter gets back from injury and when Lawrence is inserted into the lineup.

Agree that he doesn't deserve it. I think he'll find better success elsewhere. Although he may not work out in the NFL, he at least got paid handsomely for being the 6th overall pick. But truth is that he was our weakest link. I wish that he could have stepped up his game and become that coveted shutdown corner that we drafted him to be.

Safeties need to tackle. who would you start Claiborne over? JJ? Church? The dude is soft, he is the least physical db on the team

Very good point. He looked more physical this year, but you are right some people are just soft and not meant to play at this level.

I hate to say it, but we do not win the Seattle game if Mo was one of our top 3 corners. Wilson is good enough to find the weak link, and many of those third down stops would have been completions because Mo was playing off his man or penalties because he held or interfered. Addition by subtraction...

No doubt that Claiborne hasn't been what Dallas expected, but for all we know he could have had an interception in this game that would have made the victory easier.

I'm glad Dallas seems to have the parts in place to move forward without Mo (especially since Scandrick has turned into a player and Moore seems to be solid in the nickel), but I can't say we're better off without Mo because we don't know how this season will play out.

Based on last Sunday's game, I'd say we had the right three corners on the field. This Sunday, it's possible I won't feel that way.
