Lets face it... love him or hate him.... we are not using him as a weapon. I am not homering on TO. We just dont get him involved. Even if its a small game. He needs to be involved early. Motion him or something?

Once teams take him out of game(1st & 2nd qtr) we become very beatable.

He didnt just stop becoming productive. We are wasting him on this team.

Too much props for Romo spreading the ball around... he needs to use Owens more....

Dont give me stats or drops or whatever... we need more TO.

Thank you.

Another thing. For all the crap about how Owens is this and that and how he's a distraction and not worth the money......Thats total phuey.

Get him involved on the first freaking drive. Don't bring a knife to a gun fight, cause thats what we are doing. Pull out your gun and shoot instead of trying to throw corks to plug the other guys gun.

USE HIM for crying out loud.

I disagree, for the most part TO is very involved in the game plan but the last thing Romo needs to do is try and force feed TO when we have very good players outside of TO. Bottom line is we played a poor game last night and to go away from the things we have been doing to put us in our current position which by the way is the 1st place team in the NFC East would be foolish.

TO didn't have a reception in the first half last night, if I remember right.

Is that the second or third time this year?

I am not just talking about last nights game. We use him wrong even when we win. There needs to be a little force feeding. Ok force feeding is not the right term. We need to get him involved in HIGH TO% plays.

Back to last nights game.
Did the Saints stop using Bush when he didnt have success right away last night? No.... they put him in a position to be successful. We dont put TO in that position.

Change it up.. we are boring and predictable when it comes to TO.

I want Romo throwing to the open man I don't care if it is TO, Glenn, Witten or Crayton. You give yourself a chance to win when your hitting the open man. Lastnight I do think Romo missed some guys including TO but I would not go away from making the correct reads and hitting the open man all in the effort to get the ball to Owens.

Here's a novel idea

How about TO working to get open? His ego is so fragile that if he doesn't get the ball every down he goes in to a shell. Terry Glenn worked his butt off and got the ball thrown to him.

True.

But it would be extremely foolish to not draw up plays and run some "gimmee" routes to put the ball in your best weapons' hands, not to mention the guy is extremely temperamental and tends to get moody when he is not getting the ball.

If I am paying a guy a huge amount of money, that guy is going to earn that pay check some how every game.

You mean use him the way we were trying to in the second half, but Romo had to shove him-HARD-to get him to get his butt out to his position?? Owens had already packed it in, but not Romo. I saw Owens do the same thing last year when we were destroying Philly. I thought to myself, "I don't want anyone on my team like this freak." As soon as things start to get tough, Owens does what every coward does, freezes.

Yeah, let's get him the ball after he disses his teammates because some info got leaked to the media. Drop him like a hot rock.

Now this kind of thinking is TO thinking. It's all about the team not doing it's best to help TO do his best.

That just doesn't fit. It's a complete team, with complete talent and it doesn't have to focus on one guy. Glenn does a great job, Witten does a great job and Crayton does a good job as a 3rd receiver. TO is a part, not a whole. He's a great WR, but he's not everything.

Fine. He has ** fragile ego. Granted. CATER to him. He is here. Use him. Keep him happy. Whatever it takes. This team is better when he is happy.

My point exactly.
He is what he is. He is not moody when he has the ball in his hands.

And the Cowboys do put TO in motion and line him up in the slot and he gets a good amont of balls coming his way so it is not like we are not trying to get him the ball heck he gets more than any other player on the team. Having said that if I felt TO was the only guy on this team with talent then I would get him the ball all the time but he is not the only guy with very good talent and to by pass open men like Glenn, Witten and Crayton would be foolish. Dallas has been doing very well as of late and last night set back in my view is no reason to get away from what has been working very well. The object is to win game not to try and make one guy happy.

The difference is.... you dont want TO to be the focus because of his "me" attitude... and dislike for him.

I want him to make plays for the team... ultimately thats what he wants to.

So what that he gets made when he is not involved. I would be too. If TO is happy we win. Bottom line.

I never said bypass any other team members... but you may have to open things up, light a spark via TO.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I don't believe you cater to any one player.

Not really. I'd rather the team win, regardless of who's doing the best job. I didn't complain that he joined the team and I didn't put much into his past actions, whether it was silly celebrations or pulling a joke on the media with the Parcells speech.

I just think it's undue stress for the rest of the team to cater to one guy.
Sure, by all means make the most of an asset, but don't try to shoe horn something that doesn't fit. If someone else is open hit him.

Romo had a bad night and TO showed what he's all about.

Funny you should mention that he's happy when winning. A four game winning streak didn't keep the head case from crying the blues to Irvin. He's going to need counseling.

Fine. Then prepare to have less success than we should have. He is a playmaker. He needs to have the ball more.

Other than last night we have been winning game not losing them TO gets the ball more so than any other guy as for making him happy? Dallas pays him damn good money I don't care about his happiness I want him like all of our player to go out and play hard when they are on the field. When he is open then I expect Romo to make the throw and when others are open I expect Romo to feed them the ball. I don't care about his mood or any other BS and I don't want to see Dallas cater to him. As I said if TO was the only guy on this team with talent then I would get him the ball all the time but the fact is he is not the only guy with talent

I thought TO had his guy beat several times deep down the sidelines. Romo's throws either floated out of bounds or in one case TO couldn't make the adjustment to catch the pass.
TO gets lots of opportunities. The whole team was just out of sync and not ready to play last night.
I almost got the sense that after JJ's run and the defense stoning NO on its first two series they (Dallas) thought they were going to run away with it and let up on the gas. They learned that can't be done with this NO team.

yeah did you hear the end of the interview... he was happy to be a Cowboy and feels he should have always been one....

Ok so we keep him involved only enough to keep it team... keep all the anti-TO fans happy that HE is not singlehandedly winning games....

as long as anti-TO's are happy... blind... totally blind
