Didn't Owens tell Irvin that "he does not give it his all on every play?"

YoMick;1226449 said:yeah did you hear the end of the interview... he was happy to be a Cowboy and feels he should have always been one....
Ok so we keep him involved only enough to keep it team... keep all the anti-TO fans happy that HE is not singlehandedly winning games....
as long as anti-TO's are happy... blind... totally blind
vta;1226467 said:You can't quantify all criticism as anti-TO. If Glenn acted the same way, he'd get the same criticism... now look at earlier games when Glenn was forgotten and TO did his thing. How did Glenn act? There's a big difference, he's quiet.
TO can't single handedly win games, and yeah I saw the end of the interview; pretty much leads me to believe the guy has serious psychological problems. He loves being a Cowboy, why, because he feels betrayed by them??? He feels martyred like MLK???
It'll all come together when it's over; he'll have a few sessions on the couch and the obvious will be made... obvious. The only thing keeping TO from being great is TO.
YoMick;1226480 said:You took what he said out of context to prop up your post.
He didnt like what some were doing in the organization... but as football organization... he seemed to put Dallas at the top... he felt like he was on the right team finally.
TO can singlehandedly win games... if only one... he needs to be given THAT chance.
vta;1226508 said:No, I took what he himself said and believed he was telling the truth. And it really made me look at him in a different way.
I had hoped he was on the right team finally. How great would it be for him to work out with the Cowboys, after all of that past mess? What would that say about the Cowboys?
He has to understand, there is no perfect situation and if the things some are doing affect how you do your mutli-million dollar job, you're not worth your cost.
I'll say it again, look how he reacted after one bad night for Romo.
Look how, during a four game winning streak didn't give him reason to be positive for once. It was still 'poor me'.
Notice the lack of wisdom to say to a reporter, hey I'm here to play football, you want to talk about that or not? He could kill this out of control scrutiny in a second, if his head were on right. It's not.
Maybe he could win games single handedly; all he needs to do is focus on what he's good at. Playing ball.
YoMick;1226350 said:Lets face it... love him or hate him.... we are not using him as a weapon. I am not homering on TO. We just dont get him involved. Even if its a small game. He needs to be involved early. Motion him or something?
Once teams take him out of game(1st & 2nd qtr) we become very beatable.
He didnt just stop becoming productive. We are wasting him on this team.
Too much props for Romo spreading the ball around... he needs to use Owens more....
Dont give me stats or drops or whatever... we need more TO.
stealth;1226682 said:TO had 49 catches and the closest guy to him is I think terry glenn is the second with like 29, thats since romo took over.
perception and reality are ussually different

You can call it feeding him the ball or whatever you want to call it, but why have him and why pay him if you aren't going to use what he does best ?
I don't care about his happiness, or his mood, I want to get him the ball early and often because he is a dangerous weapon.
Whether you hate him or not, you have to see that. He breaks tackles, he is physical, even if Norm (whoever that is) doesn't think so.
There is no reason to pay someone $10 million a year and then not get the ball to him a lot, ... why would we do that ?
He can be a sparkplug which ignites everything, I saw it in Carolina.
He did not touch the ball in the first half last night.
Do other teams do that with their stud WR ?
Barber had no touches in the first half either, and we stopped running even though they couldn't stop it.
stealth;1226701 said:he has had the catches, he isn't breaking the big plays like I always thought he could, He used to would catch the ball and make a couple guys miss and be off to the races. The run by julius made me realize he hasn't lost a step he was out runnning everyone by a large margin on that play. he lays down on plays sometimes and runs out of bounds when I just don't think he should. He is now a good receiver instead of the great one I thought we were getting.

Doomsday101;1226712 said:Evidently Romo did not feel he was getting open or else he would get him the ball and the fact is he does get the ball quite a bit but Romo would be stupid not getting the balls to the other weapons he has. Before last night we were on a good roll in large part because Romo was getting the ball to the open man just because we played poorly last night does not mean we should stop doing what will work.

What more do you TO heads want?

Doomsday101;1226361 said:I disagree, for the most part TO is very involved in the game plan but the last thing Romo needs to do is try and force feed TO when we have very good players outside of TO.
