The Cowboys were in the game and should have earned some loyalty pride from it's fans. The team should be a little better and be fully in the mix now.

I agree with your basis for premice...winners find a way and win, given adequate learning and now experience.

My focus now, isn't on what coulda woulda been...they were good and got beat.

This season my focus is here:

Beat:

New York Giants
San Francisco 49's
Los Angeles Rams
Buffalo Bills
Philadelphia Eagles

Now, beat each of them as they come up...period. No excuses accepted and that is the standard starting here and now!
A lot of people...okay....dak fans.....were so very proud of him in the bucs game.

I am more proud of our niners game!

We were in it....tough team at their house. So close! Also why I am frustrated with our QB. No he wasn't the only one to mess the bed. But he's allegedly THE LEADER. So cut the butt slaps and new nikes and lead by example.

I'm not giving him credit for beating one of the crappiest teams to ever back into the playoffs....then have such a big part in the loss against a good team, one which we right there in it. So sue me.

Totally agree, that it wasn't all Dak. Moore had to go when he's failed to scheme against a team in two consecutive years when they openly boast what they're trying to do (not going to mention Jimmie Ward's quote -Jan 2022).
The offensive changes are in place, hopefully they better suit Dak's skillsets.... though I do think 2023 is Dak's Waterloo, especially with possibly CAP savings and the good QB class in the 2024 draft.
Scheme doesn’t matter when Dak and the offense can’t execute.

For Cowboys fans, it was a tough loss to come away with. But paint this fan still looking forward still realistic in projecting forward. Oh, San Francisco just won't always have the Cowboys' number in the present!

The offense Crapped the bed led by the QB and OC and followed by most of the playmakers on the offense... Dak should shoulder a ton of the blame the OC should be gone we should make an effort to bring in more playmakers....they have done this, holding on to it as a fan just shows how much "Stockholm's" we have from a 27 year nightmare.

That was a defensive game, both defenses played good, the offenses only played meh.
SF offense was a little better than dallas, or their defense was?
Dak threw 2 int, and it is hard to do that and win in a game like that.

Shanahan is good coach during reg season, but he usually does not do well in playoffs as playcaller or HC.
The next week against phil, he was awful , purdy got hurt so early, but I think he would have been out coached and lost anyway.
This is what it is. We were in a defensive battle but without a definitive philosophy or situational awareness from our oc, our offense was nullified. We were running plays like we were still playing the previous week's game.

Blame Dak all you want but Kellen was let go for this reason. He believes random play calling is equivalent to running the ball but it doesn't take ball control or t.o.p. into account. The Jacksonville and green Bay games are examples of this as well.

The 49ers only rushed 4 and dropped everyone else back. You can't be surprised when turnovers occur, especially on the same ol route combos that people have been calling us out for years.

Defense was playing well and the correct thing to do would have been to extend our t.o.p. to keep them rested enough to win it. This is what MM means when he says we need to run the ball.

You need to be able to switch gears with the offense. Kellen only had one speed and it got exposed.

Dallas is fixing the run defense now...

RUN DEFENSE

WIDE RECEIVER

CORNERBACK

...DaRon Bland and others will benefit from being able to line up with the opposing team 3rd best wide receiver.

For the first in a long time, the Cowboys did everything they needed to do this offseason to give themselves a chance to win the Super Bowl.

For a team that won a playoff game a year ago, they got better where they needed to, and although they still have a lot to prove, they have a chance to do great things.

Exactly! Dak is taking most of the blame, the OC is gone we did add playmakers to both sides of the ball... I get why we have fans that are hesitant to see anything other than the 27 years of bad endings but its a new season with what in my opinion was a good offseason.

all true, but I have my doubts about mike being much better. Have to wait and see.

keep in mind, that kellen was 12-5 2 years in a row, last season, he had rush for 5 games, he just came up weak in playoff games.

Now if you look back at mike in GB, he was the same, great during season, then blew the playoff games. And he had Rodgers lol.

I watched him blow the seattle miracle game, and that was pathetic. That was the year they beat dallas then lost to seattle, and seattle goes on to SB.
I think it was that year lol.

Zeke's ineffectiveness was obvious. And yet as dismal as that was, Tony only got one more yard per carry.

Explain that.

"yeah we were kicking the ARSE until tony went down"

No we weren't. Not in our run game.
Injuries played a huge part on why we couldn't run. Having an injury to Steele really set us back. I believe that if that didn't happen our running game would be better.

No one has even mentioned this player:

Multiple re-signings made headlines for the Cowboys this offseason as key contributors from last season's squad are locked in for the foreseeable future, and that includes fifth-year safety Donovan Wilson who signed a three-year, $21 million contract in March.

While the defense has added a few key pieces this offseason, retaining a player like Wilson is huge towards keeping the same dominance that the defense had a year ago, according to Leighton Vander Esch who also re-signed long-term this offseason.

The 9ers game was lost due to the break-up of the WR corps, and the fact the offensive line was ignored, and pass protection doesn't allow the QB a clean pocket to step up into. All these emotional tirades about the interceptions are just Band-Aids placed over the real hole in this team.

Every player in the NFL has weaknesses. For Dak to function, he needs a cleaner pocket. He also needs better receivers than the crap that was running out on the field last year. Jones scuttled any success this team might have enjoyed when he traded Cooper. Cooper protected Cee Dee and allowed him to beat defenders regularly, and get in the end zone.

When Pollard went down the game was lost. Yet even if Pollard didn't fall, the game was lost because this franchise cannot target the real issues and build a better team.

This next season will be much like this last season. Instead of shoring up the offensive line, we will see again this mix and match, and one key injury and the house of cards falls.

And again we will see after this coming season the vitriol of the hurt feelings set throwing shade on Dak, when so much of this is like the seven blind men and the elephant.

Tony Romo could move and find a clean spot to throw the ball. He could sidestep, or juke a defender and get to a place where he could launch a pass. This is a trait Mahomes has. Dak does not have much in the way of this ability. Therefore he needs protection. Staubach could wiggle out of trouble and find a spot to throw the ball. Aikman stood in a pocket with little movement and delivered. Aikman had a better offensive line.

This team needs to assemble the best offensive line in football for them to be all they can be.

Another way to look at this is Hurts was considered by all here before this last season as not great. How did he arrive in the conversation of the best in the league?
They built an offensive line that protects him.

He stands unmolested, much like a frat house touch football QB who has all day to survey the field. Hurts didn't become all world. The players that surround him were improved to mask his shortcomings.

The 9ers game was lost because Jerry does not know how to actually target the problems and fix them. He waits until it is too late and he's slapped in the face.

Mazi is a prime example of this. The offensive line is the problem and will be shown to be another season wasted because of an old man who has to be the final decision maker, as they said in the third installment of Indiana Jones....

He chose poorly.

No scheme works when execution is so poor. In these “ big games”, Dak has repeatedly failed. The oline and running game gets shut down and teams dare Dak to beat them and he can’t do it. The scheme is great against all the teams with the exception of the good teams. Dak and the offense can not beat the better teams with better talent. Turnovers, penalties, etc are the results of poorly executed and poorly disciplined football.

NFL Network is airing the 2022 Confernce game right now.

Man we had them until Pollard got injured. Dirty tackle also. Can't believe a bigger deal wasn't made out of that by the league.

Defense held that SF offense to 6 points up until that point. SF was rolling through everyone before that game.

We had them.......
Yeah, but SF went for the knockout and "down goes Dallas, down goes Dallas!!"...... not enough to have anyone on the ropes.
