My first thought to that is we shouldn't have to operate that way. We shouldn't have to find a coach who can actually be the GM too if he has the eye for talent and the ability to handle Jerry.
I don't doubt Garrett's head coach ability but I do have questions with talent acquisition. He's in the least conducive environment for winning in the NFL. It's hard enough to be a rookie head coach, especially with his relatively short resume as a coach. It's even harder when you have to do it with no GM and no Director of Player Personnel.
It's gonna come down to can he get the players he needs to win and I don't know the answer to that right now. But if he can win here, he can win anywhere, IMO. I'd have taken the Ravens job if I were Garrett.
