heres the best way to describe the Cowboys and most of their fans right now. The Cowboys are Charlie Brown and the rest of the NFL is Lucy with the football. The only people who dont get the joke but still try are the Cowboys. until they can kick that ball, they always land flat on their back asking "what went wrong?" and the answer is still the same "you are" and round and round we go.

Actually 17th place in being very generous to Coach Clapper, so I don't see any disrespect at all here.
Jones installed lemonade salesman Jason Garrett at head coach. Instead of failing miserably, the seeming marriage of convenience has gradually grown stronger, organically producing an identity in the process. Spend big on assistant coaches. Draft hog mollies. Run the ball. Bend but don’t break on defense. The result has been two 12-win seasons in three years, the second of which came with a fourth-round rookie at quarterback. Maybe it’s luck. Maybe it’s supernatural. Whatever it is, it’s working, and after two decades of deserved criticism ol’ Jer has earned some plaudits.

you don't earn any thing until u win in the playoffs they don't have parade for 12 win seasons or hang banners for that they playoffs is where you earn greatness with continual success year after year the Lombardi is not named that because he won games in the regular season

It is not uncommon for fan bases to feel like their favorite team just doesn’t get any respect. That is certainly true for those of us who follow the Dallas Cowboys. Most of the time, you really just have to write it off as a bit of homerism and the natural defensiveness that comes when you see the team you are so invested in getting criticized.

But over the past few weeks, some things have shown up out there in the interwebs that certainly make it seem that the Cowboys are getting absolutely disrespected. It just isn’t the lack of regard exhibited. It is how recent accomplishments - as in from last season - are completely dismissed.

If it was just one or two isolated things, that would be one thing. But there is a pattern here that all seems to come back to one conclusion: A lot of people think last year was purely a fluke for the Cowboys, and will basically be nearly impossible for them to duplicate.

The most recent bit of evidence is also the most egregious: Pete Prisco’s ranking of all 32 NFL head coaches for CBS Sports. He ranked Jason Garrett at 17th in the league, with this write up.

Even some of most optimistic cowboys fans expect somewhat of pull back this year. Just a tougher schedule alone will make that happen. I think your being too sensitive in this situation.

The Dallas Cowboys I believe every team gets up and ready to play them, no matter the situation...in some ways that's a curse...

There was a time that was certainly true but I'm not sure that is still the case. Intradivisional games, yes winning the game means more. Intraconference games, perhaps still true in some cases but other than that, teams no longer regard a match up with the Cowboys as something to "get up and ready to play" any more than they would for any other team. Your position seems a bit arrogant when it is no longer warranted.

I see one playoff win in 7 seasons as head coach.

He is the Marvin Lewis of the NFC (great regular season records , but does jack in the playoffs)

You think so, I don't...if your position was true why does the media and most other teams fan base trash talk us so much about not winning a SB in 25+ years, do the Jets get grief like the Cowboys do, they haven't won a SB since the 60's, how bout the dolphins?

Oh it's still true for the media and fans, the Cowboys are still America's team. Fan's either love the Cowboys or hate them and they will trash talk accordingly. I believe among the players/coaches/owners, that reverence or aura of greatness that use to exist with the Cowboys has worn off over the past 25+ years.
